I don't understand why they arrested his girlfriend when he didn't escape, they let him out of jail. So, if he's not supposed to be out it's their fault.

You should never get tattoos on your face. You never know when you might be let out of prison accidentally. Now Mason is walking around with tattoos that scream "Yep, I'm they guy they are looking for." Life lessons.
