  1. I wanted to see the plant that grows aluminium. but all i saw was a smelter.

  2. Fantastic intro explaining the pronunciations.

  3. We don't need to be "Classical". That is simply "putting on airs".
    Ain't nobody got time for that. IT IS ~`~ ~ A L U M I N U M. p e r i o d.

  4. So of the price of aluminum is up does this mean someone collecting cans road side will get more per pound at the recycling center?

  5. y the worker sounds southern ?

  6. I mean no disrespect to My British Cousins, but we don't tell them how to drive or that they're driving on the wrong side of the road. If the British Chemist that discovered "Aluminum" spelled it that way in the first place, then (as the Céline Dion song goes) "That's The Way It Is." It's "ALUMINUM!"

  7. I saw that title and thought " holy crap, the greenies want to pass off plants as Meat alternatives Now a Metal ! No, no Things have gone too Far ! " then I clicked it, saw my man Mike and thought "wow,, the lefties have ruined my brain with their nonsense , I expected nonsense " . I need a vacation .

  8. This all said, why aren’t ALL states giving $credits for the recycling of aluminum cans???

    Make every can $.05-0.10
Watch the streets get cleaned up!
Gives people beautiful motivation to pick up aluminum “trash”.

  9. So you can shred something into bigger chunks than what’s being fed into the shredder?

  10. While I agree Aluminum is important – the most important? far more iron is used – mostly in steel; is that not more critical to modern life? Are there ever going to Aluminum high rise buildings or ships or heavy vehicles? Most functions of aluminum are being replaced with carbon fiber; or at least many of them. I think it will be a long time before you see a carbon fiber oil tanker or high rise. I think you could even argue gold is more important than Aluminum; its critical to electronic circuits so prolific in todays world.

  11. It's not a plant it's a factory. Title is click bait.

  12. My man is savage. Bro they hate us already, don't need to go on the attack. And I do mean hate.

  13. Aluminium 😉🇬🇧 I am from 🇬🇧 and I couldn’t give a 💩 how it was spoken and said….🙏🏼👍🏽

  14. The key problem is Bumbling Bird Brain biden.
    Deliberate economic sabotage

  15. Come back to New Zealand and take your dross back to America…You created the waste, you look after its removal

  16. Ah yes, Aluminum certainly does not rust, but it does corrode. Many people that don't work with metals don't understand that rust on iron or steel is just a type of corrosion. I've see aluminum corrosion on aircraft parts or like on a section of a B-52 that got so bad, the aircraft had to be grounded until it could be repaired. But that happens to many things made out of aluminum. The corrosion can be even quicker than in steel and it can also go unnoticed and cause a major failure of a part or equipment. But corrosion happens to many other items too. It is just something that needs to be watched for and taken care of or prevented as much as possible.

  17. As a German living in the US, I encounter many snobby US Porsche owners that correct others how their beloved brand is pronounced and that is when I remind them, that someone from Boston pronounce "Water" different that someone from North Carolina. It is OK to Say "Porche" and not Por-sch-e. Bosterners don't go around and say "WAATER" is the correct way. Don't be a Snob

  18. LOVE MY BRITS BUT WE SAY IT HOW WE KNOW HOW

  19. Very impressive! I wish people would stand up against the metric system being shoved down our throats!

  20. Is this Mike Rowe? I recognize the voice but who the hell is this?

  21. "What's a refusal", and that's where you leave off 🙂

  22. If you don't like the way it's pronounced, then invent your own language and stop using ENGLISH. Simple

  23. Love this, I'll be watching this.

  24. We got alot of this from Ukraine.

  25. I thought it was changed to fit in with other metals such as titanium but Americans, because they invented English obviously, kept the original spelling. I was surprised when I discovered the American spelling was the original and correct. How do you explain solder? (sodder in American).

  26. Tell British scientist to go suck an egg, we won the war…remember ??? We also saved their backside in ww2, even before we(U.S.) entered the war we were sending massive amounts of supplies to England…remember ??? LOL ….

  27. You cannot please a Brit

  28. This is, exactly, what roils the Devilcrat Party. Employed Americans and honest work.

  29. I blame the schools

  30. 🙂😎👍
    Very Good ! ! !

  31. Buy silver than crypto….

  32. Spell Aluminum. Look at the periodic table. It does not pronounce out to A lu min ium. Britain's pronunciation is wrong.

  33. We say Alumimium in South Africa and we don't drive on the wrong side of the road and we have transparent free and fair elections and freedom of speech entrenched in our constitution without which a people's government can't happen.

  34. EVERYTHING WORKS IN ENGLAND – LOL

  35. I've hauled millions of pounds of it.
Plant here in Ravenswood,WV, another plant in Millwood,WV. Hawsville ,KY, Waverly TN, Charleston SC,. Uhricsville, oh.
    And many more .

  36. They spell it differently too. Another thing the British make fun of us for is calling football "soccer". soccer is THEIR word. it was slang for "Association Football"

  37. And just look how far England has fallen.

  38. Very interesting video. Thank you.

  39. Mike Rowe…You are sooo awesome! 😎👍
