does Rail workers have less benefits compared to regular workers or similar trades like trucking industry? Many people does not have "sick days" and do not have behind the strength of an Union to put pressure and get their ways but have to take whatever employer and government allowed.

More than half of the workers go to work sick. It’s been made too difficult for them to recover the money. The place is completely unsanitary. Every time they start to clean or do social distancing they immediately take it away to save cost. Having at least seven paid sick days is very normal. Why are the railroads so greedy. They’ve cut the amount of time that workers can clean. Some of the microwaves and that stuff have not been cleaned for over a year. The floors and various other things. These companies move the holidays so that they can get long three day weekends with their families for the people at the top. Then 90% of the workforce must work extra. During this time they have to work in different areas spreading many diseases during the holiday. The company makes little effort to let the workers go early so they don’t cross paths with the other workers. They mix them all up on the holidays and makes it the worst time of the years.

I was in the last railroad strike in 1992congress stopped it after 2 days ……..same thing will happen this time. Rail life is not easy. Who likes working 70 hrs a week year round with only vacation an few personal leave days. I know 2 people who have quit the railroad very recently. Tired of working many days a month with no set time off

I say strike, it's the hard working men and women that run this country, not the high and mighty, corrupt politicians or the railroad companies. This deal will not break them greedy MFs. And it doesn't matter what kind of bill you have, you can't force these railroad workers to work. These are highly skilled jobs your not sacking groceries let them try to replace you. And as for the unions, if they fail you, hit them where it hurts, quit paying union fees 60 thousand workers that's alot of money. Why you say because if they don't fight for you now what makes you think they'll fight for you in the future, so why pay them.

I worked with a union in a Papermill got 2.3 2.5 and it’s unbelievable the real company union is 124% raise shoot seniors don’t even get anything like that and they’re hurting. Oh that’s right we’re going to get a 7% raise next month, wow Medicare went up so that raise mostly that’s going to Medicare. What a joke that is.
