The upcoming Senate will have 49 Republicans, 48 Democrats and 3 Independents, but it's considered a "Democratic Majority?" Obviously, it doesn't matter if you have a D or an I after your name, but rather who the "I's" caucus with. They caucus with Democrats, so I'm not sure how this changes anything.
I love it! But in my humble opinion… this is the problem with the election of state senators by popular vote, no direct accountability to the people that elected her. Now she is independent… like uncle bernie…
