In December 2021, Senators Manchin and Sinema voted along with most of Congress to approve a nearly 800 billion dollar defense appropriations budget. After twenty year occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq came to an end, we were promised a "peace dividend".. However, Congress approved more money for defense now even though we left Afghanistan and Iraq. In addition Congress is approving lend lease military assistance to Ukraine above and beyond the amount set forth in the defense appropriation bill.
Changing people's lives for the worst.
