  1. They must feel so betrayed right now, they wasn't asking for much… If they are that important why not just give it to them. But a bunch of people that likely have never worked a single honest day work voted against them

  2. Investing in crypto now should be in every wise individuals list, in some months time you'll be ecstatic with the decision you made today.

  3. Indentured servants forced to work under threat of lawsuit makes for a better tittle

  4. All you ltl union drivers and ups take a good look this isnt just about railroad union this sets the stage for all

  5. What congress is doing to the railway strikers should cause all of us to go on strike. Don’t ever let anyone ever tell you this is a free nation.

This American will not be voting for either Democrats or Republicans since they’re traitors to the working class.

  6. Union workers are based on socialism back in the founding of it in America they are capitalist they're pro slave pro dirt poor of the working class the white house is not your friend red or blue

  7. Now demoralized and exhausted Railroad Workers will continue to quit in the thousands, in 2023. This isn't over at all.

  8. The worst is yet to come.a lot of families of truckers are feeling the brunt of the freight rates cut while fuel price increases , can u imagine how much families are affected .

  17. I bet the election thief actually believes his gibberish

  18. Hey union members
Remember your reps telling you Biden would protect the unions?

  19. The sick leave bill introduced to both house of congress was voted down by Republicans….

98% of all house Republicans voted
    "NO" for paid sick leave.
95% of all senate Republicans voted "NO" for paid sick leave.

All democrats but 1 voted to give railroaders paid sick time off

  20. 1 year ago they had 84 days off 🤬 that went to 10. All they were asking for was 7 of those 74 days back. 1 day doesnt replace the 74 that were removed.

Those days were removed to improve profits. Not for anyone but shareholders and railroad CEOs simply said nothing and waited it out while I watch my fellow railroaders and their families cry and suffer in crippling anxiety at the devastation. People had no choice but to leave and give up their pension and job in some terminals becauae you have to literally be infused with Kryptonite to do what they want you to do in some places. Its not a job conducive to any form of happy life. And politicians have the nerve to demonize our husbands???? Ive been in the position of emergencies car wrecks, no transportation, medical emergencies, and if you lay off its points which could cost your job. The panic attacks, hot sweaty, out of your mind “what are we gonna do, we might need to take Johnny to ER he might have meningitis but we dont know and if he isnt sick then you will lose points cause fmla wont be there to save you from losing your job, but if you go to work and he dies you’ll live with that forever.” Panic sessions.

These are EVERY DAY REALITIES in this job. For most it wasn’t this bad. ITs deteriorated to untenable levels. The never ending stress and daily panic of navigating your life around train lineup’s that change every hour, trying ti live any sort of life outside the railroad that controls every waking and sleeping moment was already nearly impossible even with 70 unpaid days a year that were unpenalized. To go to 1 day per month max or you get fired?? We, collectively as a national railroad family, grieved for this whole past year over what rail corporations did to all of us, families too! After investing 10, 15, 25 years into the job and then have to leave and start over because profits are more important than acknowledging people are human?

And my husband DID go to work with spinal meningitis because he was afraid he wasn’t sick enough to use the points to be off to get well. He was afraid it was just a bad headache and he would have wasted points so if something “major” came up he would lose his job. In a normal life, if you were unsure, you could maybe go home an hour early and go to the ER or you could go during the afternoon or morning if you work a night shift, that way work wouldnt be interfered with say it was just a bad headache. But in railroad life, any time off is inexcusable, even to sleep. So you subsist on cat naps your whole life neglect your health entirely. Because doctor’s appointments under the TA forced by congress, are limited to 3 per year (including medical, vision and dental). And only allowed Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and must get approved 30 days in advance. So if you need a follow up to go to a specialist. Theres 2. If you need a dental check up thats 3. So no more till next year. So no glasses. No diagnostic tests. Sorry, 3 is all you get. And if your doctor can only see you monday or friday, you cant go. So employers now have control of your health care choices as well as your entire waking and non-waking life. Its no wonder so many railroaders end up with advanced stage preventable illness because their time off is so strictly controlled that they save points for hypothetical catastrophic emergencies and thereby have no choice but to neglect their families, themselves, their physical and mental health oh and also regularly give up sleep entirely to make a call they had no idea was coming. No telling when the phone may ring. 2:30am, 5:47pm, 10:38am. Every day is a different time. No warning. You just go. “Yes master”

Railroaders live daily in absolute terror. And of the crippling fatigue that costs lives on the job. But if they are called on no rest and tell their employers they are too tired, they can get ooints for it and get fired. Because uou are “supposed to ensure you’re well rested to report to work”, but they can change train lineups and push them up 18 hours within seconds and call you for a job that didnt even exist 5 minutes ago. I wish i was making this up!

They’re trying to pay soon to be retirees $10,000 a head to stay because they can’t hire. No one will work under the inhumane conditions. People are winding up in mental institutions with therapy and PTSD due to the constant 24/7/365 on call status with unpredictable life destroying train line ups they are at the mercy of, getting maybe 30-40 hours a week at home (including commute and any sleep time), free time with family is sometimes no more than 5-10 hours a week. And not by choice. If they dont, they’re fired. Quickly. For excessive absenteeism.

And you can’t plan any leisure activity. When someone asks “hey when will your husband be off”? I just look at them. Because we dont even know if he will have the next 4 hours off at any given moment. Ever. Thats what railroaders live daily.

We are a railroad family and i put it on paper and my heart stopped. I knew it was grueling but as railroaders, they just deal with it. For decades. They were asking for relief in 1997 and made empty promises under Clinton, and its only getting worse and no one cares. They just want their daily shipments and commodities and dont care who’s lives are destroyed.

Money doesnt help. 24% has to span 5 years, and with 20-25% more time requirements on call or working now, its a drastic pay cut.

They will more likely quit all at once. A strike is temporary. This will result in resignations and they wont come back.

    RIP supply chain.

Not good news for the economy.

  21. There are more of us than them.

  22. Biden doesn't care unless it is a topic that he loves like sending money to Ukraine but keeping our railroad workers from getting sick days 10 billion to Ukraine zero to USA workers remember that when you vote

  23. The railroad workers need to get an attorney

  24. Did anyone really think Biden would help union workers?

  25. This is a dangerous precident, they should have left this alone. As a former union member, I would quit if the federal govt tried to force me into an unfair contract. Absolute sh*t.

  26. Disgusting. Strike anyway!

  27. Union railway, get what they want, non union truck drivers get the middle finger.

  28. 🤮🤑🤮🤑🤮🤑🤮🤑🤮🤑💩💩🤮🤑🤮🤑💩🤡🤮🤑💩🤡🤮🤑🤡🤡🤡🤡💩🤡🤑🤑🤮🤑🤡🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥

  29. The headline should actually be more like "Federal Government helps private corporations keep their workers poor and desperate by forcing a deal that workers unions rejected so that government officials can continue to receive bribes from corporations."

  30. No difference between the parties. Workers of the world unite

  31. Imagine selling out your country in the twilight years of your life

  32. But yet the president's taking more days off than any president in years it's amazing ain't it and then they step in and say they brokered something no they shoved it down their throats this guy's a lying piece of crap

  33. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. THEY NEED TO GIVE THEM WHAT WAS REQUESTED, IT WAS ALL A SETUP TO MAKE TWO SEPERATE BILLS. ITS TIME TO STRIKE NATIONWIDE
