Races tighten across the country barely three weeks out from election day. In Georgia, early voting begins tomorrow, and republicans hope to win back the majority. Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker spoke exclusively with NBC News’ Kristen Welker about why he flashed a badge during Friday’s debate, and whether he’s pretending to be a police officer.

They were so interested in getting in their gotcha question "isn't it for the trophy case" that Welker missed the opportunity to ask "what kind of things?" when Walker said "the sheriff has authorized me to do all kinds of things".. and then Walker would have dug a deeper hole but instead Kristen blew it by scripting her part of the interview instead using journalism footwork. This is exactly why people call cnn cnnx msnbc ect as cake news….walker as well as Shaquille O'Neil and for example 🙄 Steven Segal in Louisiana are legit Deputy sheriff's. You can be appointed by any Sheriff in any county in the USA and given arrest powers. The difference is liability if that person makes a mistake during authorized duties the the department is liable. But they all received real firearms training along with procedures and arrest protocols if need be. These famous individuals are almost always placed in community policing details with full time officers and Deputies that perform the exact same duties. There so many people that form opinions and beliefs without knowing a thing about what they speak of.
