Senator Chris Murphy led a bipartisan group of nine senators to work on a path forward for gun legislation with hopes to have a bill to propose after the Memorial Day recess. Uvalde’s Republican representative Tony Gonzales is pressing for legislation that would make schools tougher targets for mass shootings. While Congress is divided, a new poll shows 88 percent of those surveyed support mandatory background checks on all gun sales.

It is inconceivable the Democrates are breaking our laws by allowing illegal border crossings, allowing these people to bring their drugs into our country which causes 90% of the murders and deaths in this country. Their just using this Texas incident to try and take our gun rights or ability to protect ourselves away from us. Gun control would not have prevented this and the shooting in Buffalo, NY has the strictest gun laws in the nation yet it still happened has the shooter was able to buy an gun that was already banned in that state in the state of NY and pass a background test. The shooter in TX also passed a background test and had no history of mental illness and no criminal history. So he was able to buy a gun. Instead of blaming the NRA we need to make the local police department fully accountable for their failure. So please tell me how is this the NRA'S fault??????? Its really sad to hear the comments of politicians that are afraid to be themselves on finding solutions to this problem ( 18 year old with war weapons ), because of loosing power ( from corporate bribes and political employment ).
But it is more sad to hear the media trying to entertain or expose the BS solutions that they offer.
