Even if they did make comments, which I doubt, who's to say they were negative? Maybe they were thinking out loud of what an asset it would be to have grandchildren of color and how that would help the people of the commonwealth feel more included. Here in Birmingham, my neighbours are having to make a difficult choice between heating their homes and buying food. One of them is chronically ill, on a fixed income, and has children, one of whom is disabled. She has decided that it is better to be in debt and warm than to die debt-free. Last night, the temperature dropped to -4°C. My husband works three jobs to ensure that our disabled child does not have to choose between food and heat. Millions of British people face similar issues year after year, while taxes continue to rise, the cost of living becomes unmanageable, and access to quality healthcare becomes non-existent. We do not concern ourselves with people who own dozens of properties and heat mansions they only reside in a few days out of the year. Our worries do not include talking about whatever £2000 coat Kate Middleton is choosing to recycle this year, or whether or not she chose to fly private. This garbage is being pushed on us, but we do not seek it out.
Still believe William was the primary person involved, and leading the conversation., I can't see Charles having enough patience to wait for a mumbling Kate to get to or arrive at some muddled point. Yes, we've seen Kate's discomfort being around Black people over 3ft. And even then she seemingly looks more comfortable cooing at Black children who kept behind chicken wire so undoubtedly I am not surprised she would be part of the conversation but William I believe is the catalyst. Charles taking the brunt of the blame is understandable, he is after all above the law ergo untouchable albeit he has sunk in the estimation of Black and Brown people in the multiracial UK and the Commonwealth. But truthfully the Royals are all complicit and using race to momentarily distract from what is being shown to us in Endgame demonstrates poor judgement – the Royal Family need to have a public conversation about race and a public apology issued to Prince Harry, Princess Meghan, and more importantly Prince Archie. There was hard evidence given to the courts to prove they lied, she was very much involved with the input to FF. Megan Markle had to apologise to the court officials and judge for her lying to them.
