Police say an altercation between two co-workers at VCU Medical Center North Hospital in Richmond ended in gunfire, leaving one man dead and another taken into police custody. WWBT reports.

Why would co-workers bring guns to work unless they knew or agreed to have a shootout during work?
This imposes the question if the theory of cool down periods are realistic or even effective to any degree. I think irrational behavior has evolved to the point where this "cool down" time just doesn't exist in some people.
