This world is in shambles. Everybody that pray to the God of heaven, abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, please pray
Denver is a dreadful and frightening place to reside. Law Enforcement, current Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, Denver City Council, B.I.D. (Business Improvement District), and the Downtown Denver Partnership focus on tourism and "beautification" projects and ignore crime and public safety.
Michael Hancock, after the second shooting last week, stated Denver is being "misrepresented." Crime is everywhere and Downtown Denver, in the face of data, is a "safe" location. He even attempted to downplay Downtown Denver's crime by pointing to crime in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York. This is his modis operandi. Other cities have problems with crime, not Denver. I am sure the dozen or so violated this week by these shootings do not feel "safe" in Downtown Denver.
Michael Hancock's position, behaviour, and language is dangerous, reprehensible, and irresponsible. He disrepects the people injured by these shootings. He also invites more crime with his rhetoric, as those desiring to violate others will also consider Downtown Denver a "safe" place to commit crimes. If Denver City Government does not see crime as an issue or existing, the better advantage for criminals.
It is amazing how hard the media will work to avoid saying this was a gang shooting which it clearly was.
