I been a loyal southwest costumer for as long as I can remember but this is the final straw. They have lost my respect and trust and I wonβt be chancing anything with them for at least the next 10 yrs. Fair well!

You can kill the luggage that lew without you goodbye folks because some of it isn't even showing up at your destination airport but other airports…….I can deal with the computor system meltdown but it is unnessary, dangerous and also adds the the work load of already over-worked staff the have you bags fly without you……..People were asking for their already check-in bags back when their flights were cancelled and they were told " No"…….I can deal with be starnded by an airline but then you want to book a hotel and put your warm weather clothes on BUT YOU CAN'T because it has already been sent to your next destination where theives are probably rumaging thru it right now.

I will still fly Southwest! They have treated me with kindness and respect. 2 free check-in bags, free complimentary drinks and snacks, free carry-on item and personal item, etc. The list goes on! Sucks for the people that got stranded! But guess what, I wouldn't fly during the holiday or a snow storm! I have NO SYMPATHY for those last minute people flying days before Christmas! Sorry, but you chose to do that yourself. Not Southwest! Learn from this and don't fly during a freaking snowstorm or holiday!
Weather or pilots not working due to low pay. They use weather as an excuse so they donβt have to pay for hotels etc

People who booked cruises should have purchased travel insurance or booked their flights thru the cruise line. In those cases, either the insurance or the cruise line would reimburse them. People know that holidays are peak travel time, and this storm was forecast more than a week in advance. I had a cruise delayed by a hurricane, another delayed due to fog in the port so the ship couldn't get in. In each case, the a the insurance covered all my excess expenses. Disney cruise line gave a partial refund for the missed days.

SW never impressed me the few times I have flown with the airline. The last time I flew with them, I was stuck in Vegas in August 2021 for a flight back to Denver. Instead arriving at 9 pm, I arrived at 2 am because our plane was late due to a summer storm in New Jersey! I was lucky I could get home since cabs were scarce. The schedule for one chain of flights from the east coast to Vegas fell like dominoes. That was it. Never again.
Living in a country where corporations have no rules, regulations, supervision or values other than making as much money as possible, Southwest Airlines is what you get.
Still no answer on what exactly SW was doing differently from other airlines that caused this.

Anyone who purchases a ticket from Southwest Airlines after this fiasco is just plain stupid. Cheap tickets shouldn't be your only criteria for the purchase. They cant provide the services that they are responsible for.

Flying during the winter months can be more dangerous and during storms unadvisable for passengers or crew, so maybe all the pre-paid bookings and winter travel should be reconsidered and not be bookable so far in advance that strandings at airports can be avoided, and probable cancellations with a refund notice pending, addressed swiftly, safety first.

Question: If Southwest can't keep track of planes and employees, how does Southwest track maintenance schedules for planes? Meanwhile the CEO with bonus made almost $6 million in 2021.

Corporation fails, reimburse the passengers, bonus the executives, government bails out airline, taxpayers stuck with bill, infrastructure crumbles, repeat.
After they make all of the reimbursements you should expect the fares on this airline will increase dramatically
