A state that wants to control my body will most certainly want control over my freedom of movement and control over my finances next. I would not choose to attend a school in a state that thinks of women only in terms of their baby-making capacities. Nor would I hire someone from a college in one of those states.

I always thought teens should be allowed to vote. Why does some 80 year old get to choose your future. 16 is a good age to extend voting rights. Teens are on edge because they are subject to our old politicians decisions.
Virginia is still very women friendly. We have UVA, VCU, Christopher Newport, George Mason, and University of Richmond. Those are just a few. We have many more.

I am a GenX Bama alum. It breaks my heart to say this, but I would not recommend my alma mater these days. The rampant misogyny, homophobia, racism, antiSemitism, and other forms of bigotry make the state of Alabama a genuinely dangerous place. Hatred is open, brazen, and relished, and it's volume is increasingly being amplified and acted out. This is in rural areas and towns and cities of all sizes. After years of living elsewhere around the country, I moved back to Alabama to be present for an elderly family member's needs. I am appalled by how the stripping of the rights of others and the removal of protections by law are celebrated in this state and increasingly so year by year. The worst hate is preached from the pulpit, and there is no separation of church and state here. None. Zero.

I think they are idiots. Attend a program that’s competitive, CHEAP and map out your life in HS as much as possible. Have decent parents with foresight, use all the “cheat sheets” and learn quicker. But if politics is the hill you wanna die on, then I see why people graduate with $300,000 in debt and they aren’t even studying a profitable career and it’s also not a Doctorate level degree. No true grasp on the concept of return on initial investment…..🤷🏻♂️
