Cant imagine how many kids didn't go on the first day and stopped going in general not only has the American education system failed us kids and teens but they failed our safety as well and wonder why lausd has lost almost 50% of their students

Imo that school should be torn down and in its place build a memorial park. Because it's not only a grim reminder of something precious that was lost. But also the city's PD" when they failed those poor souls the moment they needed them the most.
The entire system failed those 19 children and 2 teachers that day. I pray for the families and friends of those who lost their precious ones. It may not sound that important in the long term, but I hope that the rooms and halls where the massacre took place have been memorialized, never to be used again. Those places should be considered solemn and sacred. That much can still be done.
Lets not forget that the police waited and let that guy kill all those kids on purpose so the police/politicans could earn more money instead of keeping the kids alive and ending up with a lot of medical expences.

It just goes to show unfortunately nowhere is safe
In the US everyone like to "turn the page", "close the book", "be strong and go back to work".. i see it as a disrespect to the fallen. out of respect to my dead child the least i can do is not go back to the place., my point is that there is very little humanity and sentiment in the US in regards to fallen family members. Bumped up security, really, police were in the building and they didnt to anything to stop the killings while it was happening.. i would break free from that school forever.
I would never send my child back to that school out of respect
Now I see why some parents homeschool their kids.
& our Texas governor has not called a special session to fix this – yโall know what to do this November
