Many Asians think that because you are an Affirmative Action student they are automatically accepted to any University, wrong! Those applicants are required to have the qualifications and grades just as any other applicant, in order to be admitted to any University. They are not given a preference based on race or color only, but based more on a equal number distribution among the Majority.
She’d have plenty of black teachers in Nigeria !
Asians confuse Intelligence with the fact that they need to study more than whites in order to pass their exams but that has nothing to do with Intelligence.
"My identity has to be my race.."
You poor beautiful lady. The colleges have already hooked their claws in you. 😢
Trauma? Get the fk outta here. So other people has to compensate because of problem created by their own culture by systemic discrimination
Please, stop using Latino or Hispanics everytime there is a problem with other Minorities. It is been going for so many years stereotyping groups.
let's stop playing the race card
not everyone has to go to college
It was being abused as affirmative descrimination.
Come to Africa for school please. No racial discrimination at all, not even for fair skinned. 😂
White and Asians have traumas and struggles as well! The difference is they don't make it their standing/ arguing point in every thing! We need to teach black communities to sell themselves not based on trauma but based on what they are good at !
Our country is doomed in more ways than one…
Affirmative action served a good purpose originally but it needed to go. The thought process that it is needed in order for someone to succeed over an uncontrollable characteristic such as race is horrible and nobody should be discriminated against based on their skin color. If anything I think they should help those with poorer backgrounds who have the acclivity to succeed but just might not have the funding to do so. There are poor of every background.
Struggles heh? Then I can say those immigrants struggled the most and they should be admitted without any academic scores because they struggled to learn English, whereas americans are native speakers and struggle less on this front.😅😅😅
African Americans do not care and never cared about Affirmative Action nor do they care about Ivy League Colleges. There are plenty of Colleges to choose from in America. Affirmative Action never benefited African Americans, it benefited Black Immigrants. Black Immigrants population out number African Americans substantially. There is hardly any African Americans left. They are practically extinct. African American is an American Ethnic Group; it is Not a community. Their ancestors help build this country.
Please know the difference between Race and Ethnicity.
The black woman is a social science major. It's obvious because her speech is full of rhetorics, and very little on facts.
Why not during the application process don’t have a check box for race , just name addresse and educational background , grades ext… and any assistance should be based on income supported by w2..
It's hard to be an Asian in America too
Ah, asians the vain of black people's privilege.
There are more African Americans than AsianAmerican
White people will start complaining when the asians start filling up all of the doctor and engineering positions. Asians dont want to be lawyers or teachers they want to go school here and then go back to their country of origin and work there. I say no more letting foreign students come here and get preference over American students. Affirmative Action benefited Asian Americans and now they wanted it gone because black people asked for equality. Ridiculous that Asian Americans have the nerve !!
I see no one complaining about people with deep pockets and connections being able to just walk into some of these top universities with no consequences. People on this planet are braindead
I thought that there are provisions in place for early childhood education? Lets not forget the programs that have been added in recent history please and thank you. If the designated funding is not reaching the constituancy, there should be a formal accounting audit. The infrastructure of aging buildings and current education should be streamlined online when the internet catches up in rural areas also. But the savings on wear and tear on the roads and environment could save millions educators can zoom classes for all ages. You could graduate from high school early and volunteer for 2 years, or pursue and aquire a masters degree by 25 years old.
It (AA) did not benefit Black people, but it benefits everyone else more! This will backfire for the racist people who sued to target Black students. Black people need to boycott people and businesses that target, stereotype, and racialize Black people!
