I know who the Uyguers are but I don't know who this Suarez fellow is !?!? I also know that I refuse to buy Chinese products of any kind because Americans are supporting slave labor, child labor and the destruction of our atmosphere. China is the dirtiest, grimiest, criminal empire on earth and the world will have to exterminate them if they don't change their behavior. Chinese people are humble, smart, caring people but the CCP is a bunch of rich, horrible, pieces of you know what.
I don’t support or not support this mayor, but the superiority of the media? « We know who we’re talking about. Look at this inferior bozo. » The general US pronunciation is way off. It’s not Weeguh, its closer to oo-ih-ghur. Just like Kiev isn’t the oh-so-sensitive Keef, it does have a semi-lilt in there: Kee-uf, the u in uf being short.
Unless there is a meaningful population of a group in a town, a mayor not only shouldn’t be expected to know complex foreign policy issues, he/she shouldn’t be spending time and taxes on things even congress doesn’t have a grip on.
He will need to get a view (or adopt a position) on the Uyghurs and many other things, but negative news anchors could at least pronounce things correctly, rather than parrot their overlords.
And "WE" should interfere over that?? How another country treats it's people is not my responsibility, especially when the nation I'm from doesn't really care about it's own people.
