Richard Glossip was convicted of organizing the 1997 murder of his boss, Barry Van Treese. But he says he’s innocent. Today, the Supreme Court halted the execution of the Oklahoma death row inmate. Hours ahead of the news breaking, Lester Holt spoke with Glossip in an exclusive interview.

I could not believe the headline, then I noticed he was white and now I understand.
Typical ignorance and weakness of the judicial system.
The Constitution prohibits Cruel and Unusual Punishment. Since the death penalty is not unusual in the world and the means how someone’s life taken according to conservatives means the death penalty is NOT cruel and unusual. Liberals take the position that times change and so do our beliefs and believe the death penalty is cruel as it has taken the lives of many innocent people and techniques like electrocution are deemed unusual. Too many innocents die from the death penalty. One innocent person being killed by the death penalty is one too many. Also we are living in a time when racially motivated cases which were heard decades ago are now being played out, so someone in the 80’s is just now getting the death penalty. During this era and especially pre 2000 thousands of innocent minorities were pinned and placed to death. For this reason the death penalty should be banned. Plus prisoners who actually are guilty yearn for the day they are to be put to death because they hate prison. If you have time look at Robert Kennedy’s approach to prison reform. I’m not sure who I’ll vote for in the primaries but RFK has some great points

Unfortunately, this is not the first time in Oklahoma where an innocent man was on death row.
