There was an "uncomfortably" sizable amount of commentary from the "Justices" during opening "arguments" which might tend to indicate that they are somewhat disposed to a view that the 14th Amendment is the problem here and not Donald Trump's involvement in an insurrection ; I see absolutely no legal basis for a decision based on that "viewpoint" (like ; WHERE would that be coming from ????)!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m more curious as to how the justices will respond to the Civil War and Reconstruction historians who say Trump is disqualified under the 14th amendment, and their historical history on how it was applied then.
January 6th proved Donald J Trump was in violation of the US Constitutional Bill of Rights and he violated numerous constitutional amendments. He jeopardized democracy of the United States and violated domestic national security. I think the rest of the country should take note from. Colorados state actions and do the same. The court is being crazy to even considering Trumps name should be on the ballot. Obviously it’s showing crimes are acceptable and a big hole in the American US judicial system.
Unfortunately, there is simply no way the federal justices can just hand the power to remove candidates to states. The statute applies to the highest offices at the national level. Allowing lower levels of government to remove officers clearly higher up is simply not how hierarchy works. This won't go through, and Colorado should have been more careful.
Despite Trump claiming Democrats are attacking him,
it's also many well-known Republicans who are opposing Trump.
This case's lead petitioner is a Republican.
Kick him off the ballot. Let him cake.
The argument that suggests that section 3 of the amendment does not apply to a candidate is ridiculous . Otherwise, as a candidate, Jefferson Davis , would have been eligible to run for office.

Colorado and each State are sworn to uphold the Constitution under the rules of that state.
Each state has a legal right to decide who is and isn't a qualified candidate.
Why am I not concerned. A rebellion is a one off event.
Don't have rebellions and disqualification by one or more States won't happen!

Four States have adjudicated that there was a rebellion / insurrection and that Trump led that rebellion.
Nothing more needs to be considered unless we say every state that disqualifies a candidate ( Trump) must give him due process, a hearing. The States that have disqualified him have done that.
