The man named as the client in this case is straight, already married, and had no idea he was even involved in this case. I wonder if Lorie Smith is aware of what the Bible says about lying.

We need to realize that there is a difference between discriminating against race, gender, disability, and national origin and discriminating against LGBTQ. The latter is fundamentally different and the Supreme Court recognizes this. Otherwise you are discriminating against 95% of Christians and 100% of Christians who are Bible-based (instead of based on What's-Happening-Now).

This basically puts a stop to ill willed customers who would go to certain businesses with the sole purpose of creating trouble.
So if you are atheist and you run a business that makes signs, I can't purposely go to you and ask you to make signs that say:

In other words I can't force you to make a Confession of Faith ONLY because you are a business and I want to create trouble for you. I can't compel you to say something contrary to your beliefs. Moreover, I can't claim that your refusal to take my business is discriminant against me.
I say "create trouble" because clearly, you are not the only business that can fulfil my order. There are many other businesses, some even Christian that would be more than happy to get my money and even offer me a discount only because they share my beliefs and values.
This case is very specific, it is not a general case. It only applies to cases where the business needs to say or write or express something that is contrary to its beliefs. Moreover, one can see that this is only in the case where the order needs to be customize and worked on. Not a general case of the purchase of a generic product or service.
There is nothing absolute. There are exception. You can't force people against their religious views and if you do not have boundaries,,you do not have principles.
