Even before Roe was overturned, States had the power to regulate and restrict the decision to have an abortion. This decision applies narrowly to abortion only, but it also broadly rejects judicial legislation and reaffirms in resounding terms the principle of Federalism and States' rights. That broader reading is being largely ignored, but it is far more important than abortion rights.
What the SCOTUS decision has done is return the issue of abortion itself to the State legislatures, raising the possibility of States banning abortion entirely (as Texas plans to do). Gov. Youngkin's proposal to limit the exercise of the right to have an abortion to 15-weeks seems entirely sound, legally, but the Texas proposal to ban abortion entirely will almost certainly face legal challenge, since it would appear to infringe on the rights reserved to the people under the Ninth Amendment — an issue the Court side-stepped. The Founding Fathers intended the Ninth Amendment to embrace an entire universe of unenumerated rights, including the right to privacy. To ban abortion entirely would reduce the Ninth Amendment to a nullity — a result clearly contrary to the Founders' intent.
This decision is likely to foster a flurry of cases exploring the protections afforded by the Ninth Amendment, an issue SCOTUS has managed to avoid for decades. In my view, the right to seek an abortion is inherent in the Ninth Amendment; otherwise, we are faced with embracing the legal proposition that life and legal rights begin with conception, which the mother cannot infringe by seeking an abortion. I don't think logic or the public will support such an extreme interpretation.

I'm happy with our Supreme Court decision. It's about time this should have been done thirty years ago. This is a bad day for the baby killers who should be in prison. Expect to hear about bombings and attacks at abortion clinics in liberal states they are coming. If I was a doctor who did abortions I would be very scared for my life.

There are actually a lot of congenital diseases which can only be diagnosed in the 20-24 weeks , especially many heart diseases in neonates(some of the diseases are very much untreatable and the mother has to see her poor baby die after few days or watch him suffer through the short life span he/she lives).
In my country, abortion was legal upto 20 weeks , and recently it's been legal upto 24 weeks because of this reason only
