I have a feeling this case will go cold
These poor girls will be scarred for life, having to have therapy. What they saw had to be horrible.
This should NOT be a difficult case to crack. It is clear that this was a crime of passion, and in the sense of most likely resentment of an individual by this group that got murdered. There are individuals that does not take lightly to resentment to their advances, OR perhaps a jealousy type. I would not simply discount the roommates as the individual or individuals who killed them as most likely narcissistic in character, thus conniving attributes could be likely. We all know how guilty people can deny their guilt and cover up their actions.
They also could have been followed from the bar by an individual/s so we should see if there are foreign vehicle tire marks around the house, not belonging to the roommates. The bar should have cameras, do they show anything? If police established no foreign car tire marks or anything on surveillance cameras to following them, then we must consider the suspect/s were lying in wait AT THE HOUSE. Still, they had to get there by car, motorcycle, or bicycle. There should be tracks of some sorts, even footprints NOT belonging to any of the roommates.
The roommates were there or could have been there, any one of them that is. Beng this is a crime that suggests high emotion and not simply a robbery, it must be accepted, that either the suspect/s is a mad roommate, an ex-boyfriend/ girlfriend, or someone whose advances were rejected either in the bar, or school, or sometime in the past that kept the grudge.
The fact that ALL four of these individuals were stabbed while sleeping, first shows this was not about a robbery, and second shows that the individual/s responsible had the grudge against ALL four of them, unless three of them woke up and attempted to stop the individual/s. We do I believe see some defense wounds, but we must first establish who the actual intended victim was or was it all four.
So police should look harder at the roommates as well as ex-boyfriends/ girlfriends or some stranger who was rejected by the group or one of them and followed them home to know where thy reside. I cannot find any elements that would suggest a "cult" killing here. A serial killer perhaps, yes, and he would be then described as a Ted Bundy type, who also committed such angry crimes against students in the 70's. Bundy got off sexually murdering women in frenzy attacks, stabbing them repeatedly while they were asleep, yet he knew none of them.
I would, however, rule out the usual suspects concretely first. This should NOT be a difficult case to crack. If there is NO evidence of an outside party responsible for this, such as foreign tire tracks/ car, motorcycle, bicycle/ footprints or foreign DNA in the house anywhere, then we MUST consider those already living there. Thus far this police dept's capability to investigate tells me they are not equipped, or they are covering up something, which is not unheard of, though very unlikely. They should ask the FBI for help as we could have a serial killer involved. Perhaps the police are withholding evidence that suggests a third party was indeed the culprit.
I am simply then disturbed that they do not have a suspect yet as the nature of this crime narrows it down substantially.

i 100% believe it is another student, and the sad part is the killers family knows something and they are not talking or coming forward to authorities. makes them just as guilty as the killer. imagine being a parent knowing your son did this horrific crime and not saying a thing…how can you live with yourself? condoning his crime? says a lot about the character and moral status of the parents. you cannot convince me they don't know.
The ridiculousness comes from agencies designed to protect citizens . People authorized our government to protect us if they are unwilling or unable to thst we Will rescind that authority.

I'm wondering if the father has been cleared or where was he at. He's on tv every night saying stuff that I don't even think the cops would tell the parents, how does he know all of this, and didn't he change the lock a week before. Just throwing stuff out their but the detectives and FBI are not stupid if they can't find the knife or get a confession this will be a hard case to solve even with DNA!!
