A bird strike shortly after takeoff caused U.S. Airways Flight 1549 to crash-land in the middle of the Hudson River almost 15 years ago. All 150 passengers on board survived. A survivor from that ‘miracle’ flight, Pamela Seagle, recounts her experience from that day.

Wasn't it strange how no children under the age of 12 and no elderly people w/ pre-existing conditions were passengers. Almost as if they were screened/preselected.
Pilots now do their training on computer simulations
The pilots of yesteryear were usually life long pilots War pilots with years of experience

I understand a little how she feels when she says every time she’s on a plane she thinks where the exits are, etc. because once I was in a hotel fire, not a bad one but I was on the eighth floor so I had to go down a lot of stairs because you can’t take the elevator during a fire, of course so every new hotel I look for where the exits are to the staircase
