As an Indian, I didn't expect India to win one bit yesterday after the 10-over mark which read a total of 45/4. It's not an easy pitch to bat on especially given the longer boundary lines. Pakistan had total control of the game until the 17th over where they lost the plot completely. They still could've won even after the bashing of the 19th over by King Kohli on Rauf (who is very experienced in Australian conditions and the most threatening bowler yesterday). It still baffles me how we won yesterday. The Kohli factor is still 🔥 and ripe as ever. A great game of mind, patience, skills, luck and blessings. My respects to Pakistan who played really well.
I love espncricinfo but guys, you could do a lot lot better than Anil Kumble. Nobody comes here to doze off. This is boring stuff. You need to up the energy without compromising on the quality
What a game lived up to its expectation. Kohli is class as pakistani huge fan of his temperament and class that 6 off haris rauff 5th bowl was sublime pak should of had wasim Jr instead of asif ali shaheen wasn't in rhythm hopefully he will come back strong. What a game pak and india need to play bilateral also kohli is in sublime form but if india wants to win world cup rohit, rahul and Sky need to support him. As England, aussies, kiwis will not make the same blunders pak made
Hardik Pandya was the 1 who was supposed to get the big hits. Pakistani quicks had put a great plan against him on a ground with long square boundaries. He was struggling against the slow short balls and as he tried to 2nd guess, he missed out on length balls as well with that preoccupation. So it's a pickle, and Virat showed the courage & belief on ball 18.4, to deny Hardik the strike vs Rauf for the last 2 balls. It was a clear 2, & Virat asked Hardik to stay put. The senior then played the most unbelievable shot – it's akin to the moment in 'The Matrix' when Neo stops bullets on their tracks & the Operator asks how to which Morpheus answers – 'He is the one'. Virat Kohli who may have believed himself and the role assigned to him of late too probably suggests that he is the Morpheus of the team with Pants and Pandyas being the Neos of the day. But he did what even he didn't think he had come in to do today. It's almost as if this was written somewhere – from the no ball 6 to the free hit ball he was bowled of but got 3 byes of.. and that's why Kohli probably looked up with such disbelief and emotion up at the skies in the end..almost saying thanks for taking care of me.. their was some real gratitude there.. it's a game with so many stories running within, you couldn't make it up! Probably one of the greatest games I have seen in my 30 years of watching this great game..
Indian cricket has fallen quite remarkably.. From 2015-2020 Pakistan were no match to Us..Now they are equal to us Or even better. Bcci needs to gets it act right
