Taylor Swift Fans Buying Concert Tickets Crash Ticketmaster Site

Ticketmaster’s website home page went offline due to heavy traffic from “historically unprecedented demand” for Taylor Swift concert tickets. NBC News’ Stephanie Gosk reports on how ticket costs have only increased and are more difficult to access especially coming out of the pandemic.

  1. I paid 50 bucks for mines tickets

  2. Im surprised that many people wanted her tickets

  3. How the Dept of Justice allow the TicketMaster LiveNation monopoly to operate is beyond me. It should be busted up. ASAP.

  4. Moment of appreciation for Stephanie Gosk’s arms! 😍🔥💪🏼

  5. Don't worry the bots will have gotten theirs to flip online

  6. They need better Engineering

  7. Peoples are sheep 🐑

  8. three different accounts but only one account got the code so went in 15 Nov 10am but everything was down so I thought yeah of course someone already got the tickets.. can't even get in so I gave up.. 20min later I got an email saying that they had to push back to 3pm because server wasn't working.. ok great so I waited and got in queue for 8/5, 8/8, 8/9… originally I signed up for 5 4 3 but they changed to 5 8 9 without even letting me know. anyways I was waiting then I got in it was 2000+ … 266…188 so I was like what is this?! because my experience was always 2000+… it took me for a while but when I got in it was so slow but I saw all seats still available so I got 1st row seats and 3 row seats (thankgod) I took my time and make sure that's what I want it because it was not cheap… now I got all the tickets I want but after this experience I realize most of times it was luck… not how fast your internet connection is.. all luck

  9. $600 for the worst seats at the venue on stub hub. a $80 ticket on Ticketmaster is being resold for over $500.

  10. I, by some miracle, got 2 tickets for $89 each ($127 after fees :|) the experience was insane. I waited from 9am to 2:45pm for my turn and there were still hardly any seats left. not to mention every time I’d go to select seats, they’d disappear because someone else got them first. it was very hectic lol. just grateful I got something tho 😭

  11. FIRST I WAITED 3 HOURS FOR REGISTERING FOR VERIFIED FAN PRE-SALES. THEN I WAITED 6 HOURS FOR DAY OF PRE-SALES. THEN I WAITED 2-HOURS IN THE QUEUE. TOTAL 11 HOURS. WHEN I FINALLY GOT THROUGH THE QUEUE AND WAS ABLE TO PURCHASE. THERE WERE ABOUT 10 TICKETS LEFT. ALMOST 2K PEOPLE BOUGHT TICKETS. THEN WHEN I TRIED PURCHASING I STARTED GETTING ERROR MESSAGES. THEN THE SITE FROZE. THEN I RELOADED AND SENT ME BACK TO QUEUE. THIS WENT ON AND ON FOR AN HOUR UNTIL ALL 10 TICKETS WERE SOLD OUT. I HAD MY TICKET. I SHOULD HAVE A TICKET. THERE WERE 10 SEATS AVAILABLE WHEN IT WAS MY TURN TO PURCHASE. SO I'M LIVID.

  12. Taylor… Always; setting, the standard ( truly, in demand )!!!
    … Greatly, Appreciated ( And; Adored )!!!

    I LOVE YOU, TAYLOR!!!
    ( I LOVE YOU, BABY ) BABE!!!

    Jose Lajuan Washington
    Your, ' LOVER ( YOUR, MAN ) !!! '
    ' Midnight's ' … And; Much more
( beyond )!!! Keep; them, guessing!!!

    Continued, Success ( " Midnights " )!!

    P.S.

    I am; home ( now… I arrived; at: 7:07pm )!!! Watching; television,
    and; relaxing.

And; always, thinking – of: You!!!
    I love you, Taylor!!!

  13. Doesn't affect me + better music taste = happy

  14. Paid $209/each lower level seats. I was able to get 5 seats. I really want to go but if I can pay off my mortgage, I might consider selling.

  15. Ticketmaster sent out the codes and knew how many people were going to be logging on but were “surprised” by the demand 🙄

  16. I'm a verified fan yet bots scooped up all the tickets!!!!!

  17. John Oliver has a great piece about Ticketmaster, and how the tickets you fight for are actually a very small percentage of issued tickets, where those tickets go, as well as explain how Ticketmaster is designed to be the scapegoat for the entire insanity surrounding the live venue industry full stop.

  18. 1:40 "Wanted to open up tickets to fans and not bots that are scooping up and selling them for more expensive prices."

You can't get presale tickets unless you have a Swiftie fan code. They are already being scalped on Vividseats and Ticketnetwork. The only people ahead of the Swifties is TicketMaster…

Which means Ticketmaster (having seen how fast the ticket are going) is withholding remaining Taylor Swift tickets and scalping the tickets themselves, using different names and websites.

    That is the suspicion, anyway.

I counted roughly about 1000 tickets/seats, with price range of about $700 – $25,000. If it averages $1000 per ticket, that would be $1,000,000. This ticket business seems to be really dirty business.

  19. Glad I don't give a Crap!

  20. common we are talking about queen TAYTAY, she's the entire industry what do you expect!!!

  21. I got my ticket for 80$ including fees!

  22. No one is talking about how SeatGeek was acting the same way. The most offensive part was that Taylor is charging $900 with no meet and greet. Same thing with P!nk, I’ve always been an avid concert goer but now fk it. Fk ticket master and SeatGeek. I’ll just watch her show on YouTube. Resale SHOULD NOT BE PERMITTED

  23. They should’ve staggered this depending on location. Seattle at one day, Los Angeles at one day, etc.
