Teachers have been on strike for three days in Columbus, Ohio, demanding smaller class sizes and improvements. The school year began remotely for the district’s 47,000 students who are being taught by substitute teachers. Educators in other cities where tensions remain high are closely monitoring Columbus and weighing strikes themselves.

Why not just have social days where students meet and interact. And days where they have to work remotely…similar to some companies. May as well mimic school with hybrid work.
Amazingly horrific that half of the country, thinks that teachers are some kind of slaves and peons to their states…….those people strangely enough are the ones that don't want government weather it be state or federal to rule them, but they are quite ok if they rule over others lives. Teachers deserve more pay and more benefits, any country's future starts with schools and teachers, unless some politicians want their populations dumb as to better rule over them.
The causes they mention here are valid, I just wonder what isn’t being mentioned. Let’s face it, teachers lost their credibility and trustworthiness during COVID and after, otherwise I’d automatically support the teachers on this one. More information is needed to form an educated opinion here.

Due to teacher shortage, class size is larger and cause teacher to be on shrikes? It is similar to medical staff shortage due to COVID. Why teacher not giving school time to solve the shortage issue? That seems to be more morally correct than leave the student uneducated while this happening.
