In South Carolina, a young man accused of two sexual assaults will not serve jail time partly because the alleged crimes were committed when he was a minor. NBC News’ Isa Gutiérrez spoke with the girl at the center of the case and her family who are troubled by the outcome.

Sadly, this is the end result of ignoring the injustices within the criminal justice system because it was only slamming black people.
There were so many things wrong with this entire case. He reoffended while out on bond, and was still granted bond when charged the second time. The monitoring company never alerted the police when he left his house while on house arrest. They dropped the Stoller case because she passed away and they said they can’t proceeed, but there’s photographic evidence, a full SANE kit, and a witness to her assault. OH and let’s not forget his lawyer shouldn’t even be allowed to practice law right now, since he’s a freaking senator. Google what the senate does. They decide who gets to be a judge and STAY a judge. So of course a judge is scared to punish this kid, cause his lawyer can control their freaking job security!!!! Whyyyy are senators allowed to practice law while in office?? I am so disappointed in our justice system here in SC. it’s a joke.
