  1. Lazy/able body people took advantage covid by not paying rents! Small landlords on the verge of bankruptcy! Great!!! Yes, take over large cooperation!!! Stupid/lazy people don’t deserve small landlords!!

  2. City politicians (probably for a payoff) are trying to push small landlords to sell to corporate landlords by capping rent below inflation, requiring burdensome reporting, and making it very difficult to evict non-paying tenants. This video shows what happens when you have a big corporate landlord.

  3. Tenants need to stand up for their rights! Become familiar with local laws. Document and keep organized all requests for repairs. File complaints with your city/town when landlords won't cooperate. Try not to rent from hedge funds. Keep money in reserve in case you need to move so you are not stuck with a slumlord!

  4. Normally I’m all about free market capitalism but in this instance I’ll make an exception, corporate landlords shouldn’t exist nor be a thing at all

  5. These funds are buying up as many money makers as they possibly can. Apartment buildings, RV parks, trailer home parks, anything that can make the retirement funds and pension funds money easily. We need legislation that stops HEDGE FUNDS buying and using peoples homes as a means of investment for others retirement. This is OBSCENE.

  6. these companies can’t be allowed to keep buying up housing they control the housing markets in most cities

  7. Nobody or company should own 85,000 homes. That is insane!

  8. You will own nothing and you will be happy

  9. So time the renters they destroyed the property is why so time landlords never fixed

  10. Slumlords aren't new. Red states have few, if any, tenant protection laws, such should come from the federal side through HUD. Landlords put many on month to month leases, raise rents and refuse to make repairs. If the tenant can move their deposits are kept sighting damages as normal wear and tear. Tenants who file complaints or bring suits are blacklisted through landlord associations, forcing tenants to move out of the community entirely. Month to month tenants can be booted out in 30 days if they cause trouble, lipstick is put on the pig and new tenants move in, often from a waiting list.

  11. They're Slumlords. They dont deserve the title Landlord.

  12. huge swaths of private equity group owned homes is ruining neighborhoods in my state. they buy up affordable homes and turn them into rentals. the rented homes get bare minimum maintenance and some homes are empty for years in my own neighborhood. pitiful.

  13. Neo-liberal capitalist kills the worker class.

  14. Dont want to be racedt but are you renting from a company from india ?

  15. Usually the State legislation creates boundaries and standards for rental properties
Always inspect the place that you're moving into before giving up a deposit

  16. That seems excessive. House has got to blow up and people die. Those people need a good lawyer. I’ll bet her phone is blowing up right now.

  17. Fight the power! ✊🏽

  18. No rentwr is in a forever home. They just babysitting till price goes up enough to sell

  19. The American dream in action.

  20. Vote donate to democrats gop sucks

  21. Remember when landlord's didn't get paid for a year or more???

  22. It starts by not renting from them….

  23. "Landlord's right has its origin in robbery. The landlords, like all other men, love to reap where they never sowed, and demand a rent for even the natural produce of the earth"
    -Adam Smith

  24. Glad that AG stood up for the renters!
