People need to stop being so lazy and just drive the car! Stop relying on technology to do it for you.
All the people who I know that went to sleep while driving are dead.
So stupid! Its just a software update, not a physical recall. I am telling you as somebody who using auto pilot, it is at least 80 percent ready its amazing!
A good Bill for the U.S. Congress and Senate Transportation committees is to mandate control modules on the front bumpers of all motor vehicles, of which spread out the traffic. They already exist on a given amount of commercial vehicles. The device disengages the accelerator at 30 to 40 yards approaching another vehicle in the same lane. This makes a good flow of traffic without having the brake lights come on. Another Bill is to require to carry 2 reflective road triangles onboard all vehicles, for breakdowns on shoulders, little or no shoulders, nighttime, and also can be used for wrecks. Auto part stores sell them by 2 in a package. 3 are already required for large commercial vehicles.
Why is this being reported with such alarm? 380,000 Tesla drivers are voluntarily testing a BETA version of FSD software. It is regularly updated as improvements are made based on driving data and user feedback.
Did anyone die? Was anyone injured? How many crashes are there per million miles using Tesla FSD compared with having no driver assist?
Meanwhile, how many people died last week driving cars that relied solely on human control?
This is a diservice to the audience. News organizations should apply some analysis rather than using scare tactics.
If you can fall asleep while driving a Tesla and not crash, isn't it infinitly safer than falling asleep while driving other cars? How many crashes over tge decades were caused by sleeping or unattentive drivers?
Software updates eventually don’t work. Technology goes obsolete over time.
Made in China
It is just a software update done over air….. no story here.
Is Child Labour the Only Way Forward for Tesla?
Can Tesla continue its mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy [1] without relying on child labour? It's a question that concerns the supply chain of a raw material that underpins Tesla's plans to scale renewable energy and electric vehicles (EVs) [2], and one that doesn't have an immediately obvious answer.
Assuming Tesla does claim to have resolved the FSD problems that NHTSA has flagged, Americans may well have to take the company’s word for it. Why is that? Because the U.S. does not require that automated car technology be tested and approved for safety before being offered to the public. That goes for initial systems as well as for over-the-air updates.
Tesla’s big recall should serve as a wake-up call. A recklessly designed “autonomous” system shouldn’t be installed on hundreds of thousands of vehicles before the feds intervene. We can prevent that from happening by requiring that these technologies receive pre-approval before they are sold to the public.
Fake news
ABC Fake News , you LIED.
there is no Recall, and now will have to face FULL LEGAL action from TESLA.
for MISREPERSENTATION , lies and general Anti TESLA FUD.
I see you guys followed in CNN's footsteps… haha. bad idea.
Recall?? Nope… It's called over-the-air updates from the comfort of your driveway or even your garage!!!
Enjoy bringing your cars to the gas station every 300 miles and to the dealership every 3,000 miles.
Gas stations are so 2018.
why ev makers keep calling it "fsd" or fsd beta for Tesla. it confuses customers, should call it something else. look up the difference between a 5g network & 6g network which we do not have yet
Why say recall when it’s a software update 😩 fake news as always
Interesting how they call this a recall. No one else can do over-the-air updates. Most other companies don't even know what an over the air update is. Fact of the matter is, when GM has to recall their vehicles, it cost 14,000 per car. $2B from their bottom line. This recall doesn't cost Tesla anything. Mainstream media would do their viewers a favor if they let them in on this investment instead of bad-mouthing Tesla unnecessarily while the of us get a chance to invest early. Burn is on haters
…it's just plain wrong"
Hahaaa!
Great that they just happened to be recording knowing she was sleeping and were overtaking at just the right time!!! if they did think she was sleeping why didn't they sound the horn, oh yes they cannot because it could cause an accident as if it couldn't if she were sleeping!!! I do wonder if these videos are a setup?
I clicked thinking it was something serious, turned out to be because of moronic drivers instead. The only crash risk is from people having sex in the car or falling asleep because they can’t just drive the damn car.
If you can’t afford a Tesla it’s ok just don’t become a hater. 😂😂😂
ABC does another click bait story as the typical established fake news media does, 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Over the air update for a beta software which is a voluntary program that you have to be approved to get in by driving safely. Beta is by it's nature a work in progress, so the truth is just making these 3 points of the software better in the beta. Another example of why the news establishment is nothing but dishonesty and never trustworthy.
Exactly why NO ONE trusts the main street media ! All garbage stories with crazy headlines !
My son asked my nephew to put his hands on the wheel while he was speeding LONG before hearing THIS! WOOHOO!
WOW… JUST ONLY A WEEK I GOT $3,500 BY INVESTING $500, CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT WILL BE OF ME IF I COULD INVEST MORE ON IT @federickbob__everett

It’s a bug fixed. Just like an iPhone. Better learn a update or recall. 😂😂
Did Tim Cook or Bill Gates recall your Operating System last month? …. or did you get a software update over the internet?
I recalled my considerations of Tesla cars. I'm going full gas and oil, manual driving features.
In last five years, over 10,000 deaths in Ford F-150 – why are Fords not recalled?
It's a software update. Most other cars could never be updated over the air
The hell with Tesla
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
LOL MSM HATES ELON MUSK
So does apple recall Iphones during software updates lmao
