Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steven McCraw admitted police on the scene at Robb Elementary School were too slow to act and should have stormed the classroom sooner. Officials say as many as 19 officers were in a hallway by 12:03 pm but the door to the 4th grade classroom, with the shooter inside, was not breached until 47 minutes later using the janitor’s key. The decision to wait was made by the Chief of Police for the school district who believed it was a barricaded subject situation and not an active shooter.

First I want to offer my condolences and prayers to the families that lost their children and the families of the teachers. I sat watching this crying. But I have unanswered questions. How long did it take to find janitor to get the keys while all this chaos was going on? Maybe the public would be happy if the cops took fifteen minutes to get through the door without the necessary tools almost guaranteeing those behind the door would be murdered. Try to kick in your front door to see how easy it is? On Monday I can tell you the score of the game on Sunday playing Monday morning quarterback. Kudos to those who want to defund the police.

While I side with the officers who stood outside carefully evaluated the situation before storming in, I do wonder if their actions would be any different if the majority of these kids are Caucasian. Not accusing these officers to be stereotype or anything, just from my pure observation.

Dear Texas DPS: you people need less hats and more cattle.
If you're a coward, that's ok. Just don't go into law enforcement. We need brave officers who are ready willing and able to defend the innocent. Also a sense of expediency would be a big plus.

…at 4:15, the shooter was starting to get tennis elbow from the recoil….at 5:30pm the suspect was starting to get hungry so he ordered a pizza….at 6:05 he got his pizza free of charge for taking more than 30 minutes….at 11:15 the suspect was getting sleepy and asked for some chocolate milk and cookies which were handed to him by our macho deputies on condition that the suspect set his rifle down on the ground which he complied with….at a little after midnight the suspect fell asleep…..at 10 in the morning the following day the suspect woke up after sleeping in….at 12 noon the suspect got bored and couldn't take the smell of the dried blood on the floors so he went and shot hoops in the school gymnasium…at this point our brave and fearless deputies stormed the court and stole the ball from the suspect but in the process committed a rough foul knocking the suspect into the bleachers where the suspect suffered a head concussion and later passed away…now I'll take your questions…

…. I feel bad for the teacher that opened that door. Like she is going to hold this guilt on her forever even though for years they have probably done that exact same thing hundreds of times. As thousands of other schools do too.
Makes me really ferocious to know these professional well professional cowards. Are policeman. I live in Texas I friends that serve USMC serve proud to the call and are now law enforcement. I know my friends would do everything to saves lives. And to know miles away from my location there is a cowards with badge. Makes me sad to know this actually happened.
Turns out "they feared for their safety" isn't an acceptable excuse this time.
