Anything being said by this administration or the alphabet agencies should be looked upon as an outright LIE.
I didn't hear any substance from this guy. He was totally focused on questions of spin. The interviewer didn't even know the backstory. She thought that thousands of Americans were stranded in Afghanistan.
What’s even more damning is that a pack of Republicans lied about the presence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq to take us to war there. And then they threw in Afghanistan as well as almost an afterthought. The Afghanistan part ended up costing the American taxpayer 300 million dollars PER DAY every day we were there for 20 years! That’s 7300 days. Bring up your phone’s calculator and multiply 300,000,000 times 7300. Look at that number really hard because the next time some Republican wants to decry deficit spending, or inflationary spending or says we can’t afford programs that actually help Americans instead of pointlessly killing people on the other side of the world you need to recall that number. And for what did we spend all that for anyway mister? It was as messy leaving Afghanistan as it was Vietnam but at least Biden got us out.
And the pentagon wonders why recruitment is so low? I wouldn't follow this arseling around the block much less overseas 8,000 miles from home!
And still no one will be held accountable. Biden, milley, and Austin should face trial.
