  1. Why, other than to not have to pay artists, animators, sound engineers, and creative talent, do we "need" such capability? The computing industry has a long history of creating "solutions" to a problem even they themselves cannot define. Usually this just results in money wasted and worthless IPO stock, but with this, we can all easily spot the significant downsides. Why do it?

  2. Yup, there's lots on money to be made, lots of fakes to make, lots of hacking to be done, etc., etc.

  3. What if I wanted to take my likeness and also my wife and children to make an AI video?
    That's legit.
But then what would stop me from creating a video with myself and someone from history…say Cleopatra…or Taylor Swift?
Maybe don't worry about it. Just like an artist can create anything, so can AI.
Do we think that we can control AI created video from Iran/Hamas showing IDF machinegunning innocents?

Just think of all the technologies humankind has invented and how soon thereafter we've corrupted their use for nefarious goals.
