No one has read the James Michener novel "Chesapeake ". Sinking islands in the Chesapeake have been a thing for years. I'm a native of the Viginia Tidewater area, nothing new here. Yes climate change is real, but Tangeir is destined for an underwater grave regardless. Erosion due to tides and storms on the east coast have been a fact of coastal life since I was born.

This is not new. My grandmother grew up on Hog Island, near Tangier. That island is no more due to storms and erosion. Those islands have always been shifting. Many of the Hog Island homes were relocated to the main land.
