The history of Easter Island is really interesting and a reminder of survival too. The island's income depends a lot on tourism and I think many locals (correct me if im wrong) have tried for years to become an independent nation from the Chilean government so it is important for them to find a way to preserve the Moai as much as they can.

The info about the Moia statues and the history on them was so informative and I now know a lot more about it’s people and about the states meaning and why the people did them. It does make sense.
