  1. How did he survive all this years with no income

  2. Imporant to note, they gave him half a million dollars for his story about "The Terminal" It was held for him at the Airport bank in his name, but he didn't take it and has remained there till today. He apparently didn't want money, he believed in being self-sufficient. That is probably why in the movie Victor did everything to feed himself without breaking the law, even to the point of surviving on crackers.

I think he didn't sign the refugee papers because. I think because he got use to the routine at the airport and he had no family besides the people at the airport and was treated well by strangers, he didn't want to leave it. People who found his existence must've thought it was terrible, but he must've enjoyed it, The fame he got as well.

Apparently in 2008 he was at a paris shelter and fell sick and hated the shelter, he went back to the airport after and became better. I think the airport gave him some sort of peace of mind.

  3. Why did he refuse to sign the refugee papers?

  4. I have to see the opera about him!!
    RIP 🌾🌿🌸🌿🌾

  5. 20 years living in an airport? Yeah i would have left the second day lol….

  6. I first thought that Tim hanks died.
    Still, such a tragedy.

  7. Famous quote from the comic guy on the cartoon Simpsons oh I wasted my life

  8. Why did I never know about this?

  9. The airport must be super happy…. finally.

  10. Well what do you expect? Thats what he gets

  11. He liked the airport so much he didn't want to leave. He was probably getting free food and shelter and with no way to get a job there was no point in signing the papers and leaving.

  12. He looked like Sean Connery

  13. the film Royalties should have gone to him……

  14. That's about the saddest story I've ever heard.

  15. How did he support himself in the airport?

  16. To think of how much money The Terminal made multi-millionaire actors and producers, and then think of how much Terminal Man made from it.
    Goodnight sweet prince.
I'm sorry Hollywood didn't share with you.

  17. Lived in an airport died in an airport……goodman…..GOOD GOOD MAN

  18. It's almost like the effect that prison mates have when they are released from prison.. they don't know how to live in the outside world anymore. Similarly, he was granted his refugee papers, but still felt more comfortable living in the airport; it was what he knew.

  19. I just want to know why the Tom Hanks movie was so loosely based on this man’s story that they invented a fictional Eastern European country for him to be from. He couldn’t just be from Iran? Or audiences wouldn’t sympathize with an Iranian? A bizarre creative choice in any case.

  20. I cannot believe I watched this movie so long ago, and this whole time, no one figured anything out for the guy. Doesn't make sense to me. Big sad for this guy, this is textbook exploitation. I thought the film would've helped

  21. Imagine losing your papers at the airport and having an opera made about it.

  22. Ok, wow. 20 years. That's a long time.

  23. Death to all mollahs in iran.
Hussain obama gave them billions to help muslem terorisem to go on.
    So as Biden the monkey.
