What the hell UFO? They are Russian/Chinese/North Korean spying equipment (according to the US government) shaped like weather balloons, in order to identify sensitive strategic points to attack in case of war, mainly to study the degrees of coordinates to precisely hit the "central hole" of the Yellowstone volcano that could compromise the US west coast or the entire territory itself, anyway… nothing unusual, everything's normal, there's nothing to fear or panic about, life goes on folks!
In the past 7 days, I have developed this red burn looking rash on the left side of my face, I keep hearing this wierd song with only 5 notes, and have a tremendous urge to make mashed pototoes and shape a tall flat topped mountain out of them on my plate and maybe building one out of dirt in the living room.

I am a licensed electrical engineer who trained and practiced mostly communications electronics as in cell phones mobile and tower and some communications and other military electronics up to the present day although mostly retired. Radar is not my primary work and I never asked for details about target acquisition and selection.
I a ground to air military primary surveillance radar picks out objects based on a signature which could include speed, altitude, location/track, spectral features, "size estimates" and more. It can then prioritize and present threats on a priority basis per some operational profile that can change per need like defense state. If you change the signature by say , then suddenly the discard object stack shrinks and you get more and more returns/objects to investigate until everything is visible including rain showers, lightning, refraction ground reflections which might appear to move and much more. You will be overwhelmed to the point enemies can sneak in through the 'crowd.' (certainly not all military surveillance radars could be expected to be the same capability…it's logical to put the good ones at the border and other key spots). to see more stuff. Ergo, more stuff appears.
I, what could the radar present? like , (not copters) with wingspans of 6 feet plus and endurance of half a continent. They are supposed to be in known/aircraft cleared areas or with permits/licenses BUT you have only to check YouTube and other social media to see many, I means hundreds and thousands, of adventures that go up to over 100,000 feet and wander off through and over the clouds over populated areas for many miles. A lot of these adventures do not go well and the craft is lost most often in a crash but sometimes it wanders off beyond the operator's control (most often set for auto return but hey, forget to update where "here" is). Or maybe it is shot down by a F-22 🙂 . And the own scurries to clean up the debris before the 'cops' get there.
On aliens… Most astronomers and astrophysicists say "it isn't aliens until it is." Meaning always assume UFOs are not aliens until the walk up to you. That's because it is so incredibly unlikely to be 'them' or be 'now.' I think that even if there are and they send probes to us now, the probability of detecting one is very near zero. Who would make their presence known if the 'aliens' (us) have unknown intent? We have stealth but this is supposed to be a very advanced civilization with very advanced stealth. I doubt 'space radar' can now detect any of our own low orbit satellites at least from the ground.

These mysterious "unidentified flying objects" of the latest sightings have gone from being neither balloons nor aircraft to now being balloons. Foot-in-the-mouth mic moments of government officials should've been a dead giveaway; they were using words like "the other balloon," only to retract them as "misspeak."
BTW, the Chinese have also reportedly scrambled jets, claiming that they too have been seeing suspicious-looking "unidentified flying objects" over their airspace.
