There is worldwide inflation. Is the result of businesses taking advantage of shortages caused by the pandemic. The President of Kroger is bragging about how inflation is good for profits.
Exxon, Chevron and most oil companies are making record profits. CEOs and Boards of Directors are getting record bonuses. Those same companies have kept production low and call it shortages. Then they jacked up prices and call it inflation.
The UK passed a windfall profits tax on oil companies to help ordinary Britains. The Republicans would never allow that. The Grand Oligarchy Party is too busy protecting the interest of their billionaire masters.
Consolidation of wealth is the biggest threat to the country. It is the result of Republican trickle down tax policies. While the rich get richer, millions of Americans are forced out of the middle class. A Republic cannot survive when 1% of the population owns 40% of the wealth or 10% owns 70%.

Any Republican talking about national economics is a joke. There is no longer a difference between Republicans and Democrats when it comes to spending. Republicans spend tax dollars just like democrats. Republicans give tax cuts and make up the lost revenue with huge debts . Democrats spend more taxes than they take in as revenue and make up the difference with borrow money or huge debts.
Both parties have put America in 32 trillion dollars of debt.
