The Federal Government does nothing correct, nothing. If you depend on them for anything, you will be sadly disappointed no matter who makes the promises. The PPP loans are not the same as student loans in any way. The government forced businesses to shut down, lose money or go out of business. Student loan borrowers had a choice to go to school, or not, and the government wasn't forcing them to choose a 4 year college requiring tens of thousands of dollars in loans.

I never took a dime of PPP and there are others like me that take it as a personal insult to be grouped with those that took it, especially when they could have gone without it. The Democrat party have historically made slaves of a population over handouts.
I think that everyone with massive student loan debt should be able to pay it off by joining the military for a minimum of six years and have their "inhand" pay reduced and the balance to be paid to their loan debt.
Political ploy
They should allow bankruptcy to treat student debt like any other debt. That helps the people who are being truly crushed. They need to get all the parasites out of universities. The money should go to the minimum administrators to run them, the professors who teach, the librarians and other necessary staff and the upkeep of the buildings. Fire everyone else.
There is one answer to all of this and it needs to start like this: The occupant in the Whitehouse must be impeached and removed from office immediately, regardless of his successor. That is the message which must be sent initially. America has lost its grip just b/c the occupant in the Whitehouse was placed there, and yes, he wasn't voted in by 81 million Americans, and everybody should know that by now. Once the current occupant is replaced by a successor, the following 2 years should be a referendum on whether or not to ever vote for a Democrat in the Whitehouse again. This doesn't mean the Republicans are off the hook. The RINOs in the Republican Party allowed for the current occupant in the Oval Office, who is undoubtedly incompetent at that position, to be in that position by certifying votes for the Presidency. The RINOs were more concerned about what they claim to be was "to preserve the institution of the Presidency by having a peaceful transfer of power from one administration to another." There was nothing peaceful about that transfer of power to the current administration, b/c the current administration continued to ratchet up the rhetoric about the Trump administration, which was extremely competent and successful for 4 years while in power. America needs to start somewhere to "so-to-speak" stop the bleeding, and that somewhere starts at the top with the current administration. Take note that just the other day another gaffe was addeyd to the gaffe collection for the current administration, where the VP herself said directly that assistance for Hurricane Ian should be prioritized based on the color of one's skin. Can you imagine that our America has devolved into this nonsensical racism, beginning with its current leadership 50+ years after Civil Rights Act was enacted? What a disgusting comment that came out of her mouth. There should be nothing less than the acceptance of her resignation. And the incompetent one in the Oval Office himself isn't much better at all with his gaffe machine…..

It's wrong to say professors are getting rich – the increase in student fees is paying for vast increases in admin staff and departments plus lots of other ridiculous waste. In some cases they build up massive endowments and even start acting like financial investment firms and stock holders

The civil lawsuit, filed in State Supreme Court in Manhattan, seeks a $250 million judgment and a prohibition on any of the Trumps leading a company in the state of New York.

Among other allegations, the suit claims that the former president's Florida estate and golf resort, Mar-a-Lago, was valued as high as $739 million, but should have been valued at around one-tenth that amount, at $75 million. The suit says that higher valuation was "based on the false premise that it was unrestricted property and could be developed for residential use even though Mr. Trump himself signed deeds donating his residential development rights and sharply restricting changes to the property."
