NATO is so desperate to punish and weaken Russia they overlook any wrongdoing by Ukraine. Zelensky and his cronies have skimmed off monies given them and weapons given are showing up on the black market. Moreover, NATO leaders never mentions how the Ukrainian military military has been shelling the pro-russian separatists since 2014. Why, because Ukrainian leadership wants to "purify" them which meant removing any Russian influence. They could no longer speak Russian, practice their religion, keep Russian books in their libraries, practice their customs etc. It is hard to believe NATO would even consider allowing such a corrupt country like Ukraine into NATO.
Ukraine should be in NATO before the War.

If Ukraine is going to join NATO it can't be involved in an active conflict. The only way it will join is if it contracts it's border claims essentially to east and north of Dnipro and excluding Crimea.
Ukraine needs to take care of its internal terrorist (Russian terrorists) problem before they can be admitted into NATO, otherwise NATO could end up being tied up in a Ukrainian civil war. I agree. No timeline should be set. They need to 'get their house in order' first, and you know what, NATO is happy to help them do that. But, if Sweden was held up for having terrorists in their country, why would Ukraine not be?
