Every commander, official and key decision making officer should RESIGN. IT is also 'glaringly obvious' of the Racism of the department, where they kept giving News Reports ONLY in English at a total inhuman disregard for the parents of those dead children… 45 minutes to enter, and 77 minutes to confront the shooter is 'horribly a sin against humanity' and a blight on the uniform of our distinguished officers in other states. These leaders have NO human regard for children's lives, unless they where their white ones. They dress like cowboys but inside they are shameful cowards who placed their lives ahead of children. … want proof of Racism… Uvalde is a clear public example. Jesus said 'consider others as more important than yourselves. Those responsible will seek comfort, BAD weak excuses, and support; but give them none of this. These officers, commanders and officials were THERE within 4 minutes, and could have engaged, distracted and stopped this shooter within 10 minutes from windows and the hall door. What is the taxpayer paying for all that equipment, training and high salaries. As a honorable veteran and medical missionary; I am appalled. I always considered Texas a great place But now I see State and local officers as 'cowards with guns' who have no human regard for children. Repent, resign now. Don't wait. And stop crying on our shoulders for betraying our US Constitution of 'all the people'… where ALL children any race should be protected. Watching each of you speak to the news outlets, we are disgusted with your 'proud cowboy hat presentations'.. a 2nd 'murder' of those children and their families by Your weak excuses and harsh treatment of people 'not white'. As a german american, I consider 'all' people ad favored, respected and more important than myself. Many of us veterans 'ran into the fire to rescue our brothers' without long delays. It is time for a major total change of 'personnel' and the elected officials who wrongly are supporting them in the Texas State Patrol and the Local Uvalde Police departments and county. … shame on you…. you each have blood on your hands because you 'stood in groups chatting' while children bled to death and more were shot. SHAME, you betray all our Great Police Officers nationwide, and the beloved people you call 'not white or not English' by your prejudice, indifference and favoritism towards 'Texas white' and everyone else is your dog to be put down. Parents are being kept from 'freedom of speech and representation presently. Resign, each and every single one of you… some, immediately. Others, to agree to be replaced within 7 months. As for officials who are 'comforting the guilty officers and commanders'… you need to resign and let us elect True American Constitutional men whose GOD is Jesus and not some fake of your own white empire, and who's constitutional support is that ALL people's safety are more important than yours. This is the job… as Jesus said: "No greater love than this, than someone would give up their life for a friend' You blatantly do not consider these children and their families 'friends to be respected' by acting 'immediately and fast to stop the bleeding, wounded who died.. and then presenting such a racist PROUD ARROGANT presentation to the media as if you were 'someone worthy of trust and respect'.. you are not. Good GOD, that I would have any of my war orphans come to Uvalde… under such hate crime by officers against humanity. As God says in the bible; 'I am tired of your weak excuses, do not say 'its none of our business'.". May you repent, resign, and find Jesus Christ … who did not 'delay' going from trial to the hill with the cross… that you may have HIS kind of love. God convicts you already when he says of you: "IF you say you love God, but hate someone whom God created; you are a liar and the love of God is not in you." None of you 50+ officers has 'genuine love' for these children at all.. 77 minutes of sin against humanity by you. Repent, resign and never re-enter law enforcement again. Do not cry those selfish 'worship me' tears… when you have done this horrendous crime against children and God almighty who loved you enough to give his only son. IT is written: "He who says he has not sinned, denys god'.. but the bible says 'He who repents and renounces his sin, shall gain mercy". Jesus will give you mercy if you simply 'prove' your repentant heart and 'renounce' the 45 min and 77 min. delay wrong-action. God bless you then with a new life, profession of 'accountable responsibility to and before the Lord'. If the AR Rifles or their Equivalent were not AVAILABLE for Sale to the Public, the Teenage Gunman would not have the FULL COURAGE and CONFIDENCE to do/carry on his crime if he got only some single-shot handguns and few (little) ammunitions at his disposal… People tend to be more aggressive, and proud with full confidence and courage if they have High Powered Weapons or their Equivalent at their disposal than a single-shot handgun mainly for self-defense…
We can always pinpoint who is at fault, the cops for the delay or the teacher who opened the door, each has its own FLAWS, but if we focus more on the major "TRUE SOURCE" where the crime had started, we can conclude unanimously, that the "AVAILABILITY for Sale in the Public of AR Weapons/Rifles or its equivalent" (regardless auto or semi-auto) that can dispose of 100 rounds of ammunition in just a few minutes or perhaps seconds is the main culprit or major source that started the crime…
Regardless if the gunman has some mental illness/issue or not, if the AR Rifles or their Equivalent are NOT available in Public for Sale, then a single shot handgun will not result in a "Mass shooting" of 21 dead, and some injured… Perhaps 1 or 3 at most fatalities only, plus it is much easier for the Law Enforcers to apprehend/stop… than with AR Rifles or their Equivalent at the hands of the gunman…

Last time I checked a 'GUN' does not have mental illness. The 'GUN' does not Arm or Shoot itself.
