This TikTok trend to treat ADHD symptoms is making noise

The TikTok trend #brownnoise is becoming a popular way for ADHD-diagnosed individuals to treat focus issues and other symptoms. NBC News’ Maya Eaglin reports on how external audio stimulation acts as an aid but why some researchers are not convinced it truly works.

  1. Tik Tok is easily the dumbest community in history…

  2. As a person with an ADD/ADHD/Combined diagnosis coming soon (professionally btw), if you are wondering if YOU have these symptoms and relate, please go and see a professional and find out what's the deal instead of these basic tik toks (some of these Symptoms can relate to other stresses or undiagnosed issues):

    1. Having trouble sleeping at night (mainly at night). (It feels like Jet lag / Night owl almost)

    2. Unorganised thoughts and (sometimes) bad planning skills (except if you are fully focused on the things you like best and are interested in)

    3. slow thinking at the things you are not interested in (except when you are interested in, Brain go brrrrrrrr with thoughts and ideas about that interest)

    4. Day dreaming at the worst times possible (in meetings, conversations, etc.)

    5. Find yourself mostly unmotivated on some occasions (like general routines/socializing skills, in some cases/unmotivated because of sleep pattern)

    6. You MAY often get more stressed in public or special occasions (For example; Public speeches, family occasion like Christmas for example etc.)

    7. Impulsivity!! (Meaning the action played before thinking). This may be a big part of having this disorder, because MOST things in life need to be thought out before taking risks (Addiction, Gambling and taking big leaps of faith in; for Businesses, your own life choices etc.

    8. Depression and self doubt, We've all been there and if told the "You're not trying hard enough" or "You're lazy, get up" this can really run you down and forms a spiral of depression and self doubt upon yourself. (When actually you are trying as hard as you possibly can but its at your own limits of what you can do).

    9. Talking accessibly to people or yourself, most people may say that "Do I talk too much?" or "I'm such a chatter box lol". But with the disorder you sometimes let your guard down and not realise that you do talk the amount you do at moments like with friends/ Family.

  3. Is fake . Is you mind

  4. Look..out ๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿ‘† for the handle above he got shrooms, LSD, iboga, ketamines, c๐Ÿ˜‡ke, cannabis, psych, meds, DMT trips, acid chocolate ๐Ÿซ bars, and he ships!!!!

  5. Might not be til tok….
Might be the internet connection connected to our brains that has been torturing me for more than 3 years with an AI constantly trying to make my toads and confuse me?
Activated by motorcycles with a noise pattern?

This people(highly dangerous gang) controlling peoples life ?

  6. As someone with ADHD i find it incredibly annoying when people say, "I have ADHD." No, you dont. ADHD can ruin your life. it's like mild autism. Too much noise or too many things going on is stressful and hard to focus on, like someone with Autism.

Having ADHD can make it hard to connect with others. In a conversation, you will talk about several topics at once, and everyone will say, "That's random."

You can't sit still, can make it difficult to hold a job because you lose interest once you mastered the task. Wonder off the workplace or randomly quiting your job.

You can't sleep because as soon as you lay in bed, your mind is thinking of all the "cool things" you could be doing other than sleep. So you get up and do those things, or it will bug you all night, and you won't sleep. I am always gardening at 3am. because my brain is so fixated on it.

That's real ADHD. Not "I forgot what i was saying, silly me, i have ADHD"

  7. Brown noise.( DEFINITION) .outdoors off the computer off the video games and feet into the Dirt playing outdoors YES Brown noise..yes brown like the dirt..

  8. "All progress takes place outside the comfort zone." —Michael John Bobak

  9. Well it takes trends since there are shortages and medical care is a pipe dream for so many.. its sad when Tiktok trends are more viable than the tangible help you get from an actual doctors visit..

  10. Brown noise, white noise, black noise purple noise, etc is NOT NEW It may be trending right now but, that doesn't mean it's "new." Check the dates on some of those videos they're more than a decade old!!! Not because Gen Z come lately is making it trend means it's "new" ugh so tired of the sensationalism ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„

  11. ๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿ‘†look up that handle, he ships swiftly, and he got shrooms, Dmt, lsd, mmda, psilocybin, chocolate bars, he's got a lot.. ๐Ÿ„ ๐Ÿ’Š๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ„๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ”Œ..

  12. Wow, I find this very interesting. I have adhd and I need to take medication to function day to day. But all my life the sound of heavy rain and wind has always been so comforting to me. I have always looked (and continue to this day) forward to thunderstorms because they make me feel calm inside. I am also a person who cannot have the TV, or music on when Iโ€™m trying to focus – even though I am a huge music lover. I prefer silence, or at least the just the simple sound of the ringing in my ears, lol. This is all just anecdotal stuff, of course, and even though I trust in science, I also believe that whatever works for a person works for a person, so I plan to try it!

  13. Yo did you watch South Park

  14. Kate Snow SUGGESTS uS To Look at Maya Eaglin ๐Ÿ˜ , so , i Look at her ( Maya EagLin ) and i see : for joking the easiest to tell about Maya is To compare her to the PREDATOR ๐Ÿ™‚ in a movie with A Schwarcerneguer in the Woods of Latine America ( forbiden for under 16 in cinema then ) ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. "… i don t know what you excpecting from me …. every step that i take is another mistake to youuu … and every second i waste is more than i can take …. " ๐Ÿ™‚

  16. "… Tired of being what you want me To be , feeLing so faithless , under the surface …" ๐Ÿ™‚

  17. "Noise" ๐Ÿค” >>>>> McM Top 2005 ( a french music chaneL , here in Russia via NTV + then ) >>>> "Thank You For making aLL that noise we reaLLy appreciate it ….. " Jay Z & Linkin Park "Numb Encore" . ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

  18. If it's trending on Tik- Tok, it deserves serious attention from journalists and the medical community. Obvi. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  19. If thereโ€™s no empirical data behind it, Why are you doing a news story about it? ADD/ADHD is a problem with selective attention caused by lack of dopamine production in the frontal lobe of the brain, which is why certain stimulants that promote the production of dopamine, are prescribed to treat a ADD/ ADHD. You know empirically shown simple breath meditation that boosts dopamine production, and strengthen selective attention.

  20. Brown noise simply drowns out other noises that distract you.

  21. I'd give brown noise for my ADHD a chance. Trying just the brown note made me feel like poop. ๐Ÿ˜บ

  22. Any parent that will allowed Tik-Tok on your kids computer is pure ignorant

  23. I saw on tiktok that boofing tide pods cures adhd

  24. This is bad because it's tik tok Chinese are collecting all your data! This application should be applied to a USA based product

  25. Raining sounds and noise for good health .

  26. This is cool but also super stupid

  27. Works great for constipation too. Use it carefully

  28. I use to listen to stuff like this when i was younger before i go to sleep.

  29. Audio nerd here ๐Ÿค“ this is all absolute garbage ๐Ÿ˜‚

  30. We need more focus on mental health in this countryโ€ฆ The fact that weโ€™re just discovering how frequency can have affect on mental illness, & coping shows thereโ€™s a lot left for us to still learn.

    Next up ๐Ÿ„ & ๐ŸŒฑ ๐Ÿ’จ….

  31. Imagine being so worthless your on tiktok

  32. I am 27 and was diagnosed ADHD at the age of 6. I am still medicated due to the severity of it, and my partner, who is also ADHD, we both love the sound of thunderstorms. I literally need something playing whenever I do any gaming and now to sleep (since I had a traumatic event 4 years ago, I started that habit). But it makes total sense. Due to my thoughts constantly being everywhere, if I have something like that playing in the background, it gives my subconscious brain something else to focus on, resulting in me succeeding in my tasks.

  33. Is this why I love the sound of the bathroom fan? I turn it on and open the door and just leave it on as much as possible

  34. France doesn't have an ADHD problem amazing. ๐Ÿค”

  35. Fauci said TRUMP WOULD deal WITH SURPRISE out BREAK AND HE IS INVOLVED with it and is USING PHARMA TO SMEAR the truth cause the SHOT causes ISSUSE THAT HIDE TONYS MURDER SPREE 2017
