An uncontrolled wildfire forced thousands of people to evacuate the Greek island of Rhodes. The island has been battling wildfires for several days amidst a heatwave in southern Europe.

As a local from Rhodes Island here is what I know so far, and I got my sources.
– Two men caused the fire.
– These two men were paid by a politician to cause this fire.
– The police found and arrested these two people.
– The two suspects admited of causing the fire, and that they were paid to do it.
– Despite all the evidence the police has/had on them, the two men were let go without any charges.
– The name of the politician was told to NOT be shared.
– Why the two men were released, we do NOT know as of yet.
This is a classic situation to be honest.
Politicians have done this several times in the past years. They pay people who are in desperate need of money to cause fire at forests that are protected, once the whole situation has calmed down and has been forgotten, they built various things in those areas, mainly hotels.
It's all about money, and politicians do not like it when you say 'no' to them, and unfortunatelly… the stupid locals agree to help them out after receiving a "big" sum of money.
Chances are that they will delete this comment as what I just shared is kind of a "Secret", they don't want people knowing this information.
How is this a surprise??….jeeez…. Welcome to climate change people. Next year, the same people will do it again…
Prayer for Rhodes. What a special place God bless the island. I just visited in May 2023 and sent my children in July 2023. Of all the islands in Greece I told my kids you have to see Rhodes. So they went from Canada after me and luckily left 2 days before they fire. I pray miracles for Greece and the people of Rhodes

Never been there before, but from what we here in Australia experience with some of our bushfire seasons I understand what they are all going through and how quickly the fires 🔥 🔥 🔥can go out of control and how hot 🥵 🥵 it would be and how traumatic it can be with houses & businesses can be lost. I hope everyone is safe and out of harms way and good luck to all the brave men and women fighting theses fires on the ground and in the air and pray that they all remain safe to…and to all the tourists who's holidays have been ruined I'm really sorry for you plus Im also sad for all the wildlife that die every time bushfires happen !!
