All this means is the auto companies will bend and give the workers what they want, in turn now your $40,000 base model car will cost $70,000, and that $65,000 pickup you've had your eye on, will now be $115,000. They ( the workers ) will get what they want, and you ( the consumer ) will pay for it. Wait till your new electric car costs $ 150,000 for something that looks like a 1990 geo prism, and your electric bill triples as the power companies start ( they already have ) price gouging, because they now realize your whole life revolves around electricity. From all your household items, to your cars, trucks, lawnmower, chainsaw, weed trimmer, and so on. And not to mention all the large electric trucks, that can now only cover a quarter of the distance in a day that the diesel trucks could, stopping every 300 miles to recharge for 12 hours, instead of a half hour fuel stop, shipping all your goods to your house and the supermarket. Overnight shipping, so long. Amazon prime next day delivery, bye, bye. The electric companies are going to have the world at their disposal. I'll keep my gas powered stuff as long as I can. When everything is electric, they will be giving gas away.😮
I hope this whole thing will result in less cars being driven around

Little do they realize, all they are doing is jacking the already overpriced pieces of junk they put out , will be even more expensive. Quality built and affordable vehicles are a thing of the past . I was recently forced to buy a new truck since when is a basic stock bare bones ford f150 pickup truck worth 40,000 plus dollars? That you can't even get parts for without waiting . Old school able to fix and always had parts

Just fire them. There are thousands of people looking for jobs. End the union and hire new employees. If the big 3 are hamstrung then they'll never be able to compete with the foreign car manufactures.
