Three Children Survive 55 Hours In Australian Outback After Car Crash Kills Parents



Three children survived being stranded in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia for more than two days after both of their parents were killed in a car crash on Christmas Day. Seven News’ Syan Vallance reports from Perth, Australia.

  3. Jeez this is heartbreaking I lost both my parents so I know how that is but losing them in a car crash and being stuck there with them is especially traumatizing I send my condolences to the children

    Was alcohol in play..
    The 5 yr old man I feel for her..at 5 a child's memory is great..

  7. Omg, that's horrible. Can't imagine losing both your parents and having to be next to the bodies for 55 hours. The PTSD is going to be hard for them. 😢

    But the fact that the kids survived is a MIRACLE. God bless those kids

  18. The 1971 film "Walkabout" had a strangely similar plot. In it, two city-bred kids are stranded in the Australian Outback when their father commits suicide after setting their car on fire. They learn to survive with the aid of an Aboriginal boy on his "walkabout," a traditional rite of passage.
