  1. Tip for takeout?
Right, as soon as the restaraunt pays my gas and self delivery fee.

  2. I don;t even pay tip in restaurant, I can't afford it

  3. Tipping someone who earns commission on the sale is insane.

  4. As a former retail employee its still infuriates me that retail employee should not expect a tip while we are the one dealing with touching clothes tried on by people who don't shower beforehand and even worse period stains. We also clean and fold after everyone while they are shopping for dresses and pants and the ones that constantly bend down to pick up shoes. Then sometimes like anyone else that works in the service industry work with over demanding customers. If I can't expect a tip then no one else should. Same thing as maintenance workers would say.

  5. World versus the philippines of all cases against them

  6. Tipping isn’t done in Europe. Business owners need to pay their workers more instead of asking for us to take up the cost of propping up your business.

  7. What about Subway? They pre select tips for you. Mr Manners???

  8. I ordered online for pick up and there was no way I was able to 'specify' what I wanted to tip. The minimum was 15%, which made me think twice on coming back. How about those other registers where they ask for a tip and you're right there at the point of transaction being looked at…

  9. Tip is everywhere and it’s not ok at times.
It’s not that people don’t want to tip is that the he economy is hurting people. People should still be able to enjoy shopping and enjoying some basic needs while in a bad economy.
Why are servers making minimum wage bc that’s an employer and government issue we need to address and fix

  10. My ✨️SIMPLE✨️ rule:

If you come to me, I tip you 18-25%. (server at a restaurant where I'm seated, doordash, lyft, hotel room service, etc)

If I come to you, no tip. (drive-through, retail, etc.)

  11. SOOOOOOooo… tip then 🤗 if you got it, why not then?!!

  12. Funny, that extra $50 from tips should be coming from the company to support their employees selling their products…not the customers. I disagree though that you should only tip a barista if they remember your drink?!?! Sounds like someone never worked in customer service and is entitled af. We're tipping for a service that we don't want to do. Did you do all the necessary cleaning and stocking for the shop? No. Did you deal with customers all day? No. Did you wake up, put on a uniform, and stand on your feet all day? No. So just give the person a little tip, jesus.

  13. If your going to tip, do them a favor and give them CASH. Some people need money NOW, not after it’s been taxed.

  14. Who the heck started this trend? I’m not tipping for takeout or retail.

  15. I went to a concert at an arena last month and was asked to tip the person at the merch counter. I did not tip, but this is getting out of hand. Capitalism sucks

  16. Tips for pouring coffee are as ridiculous as tips for putting a Whopper and fries on a tray, they don't deserve any tips for such simple things. These GenZ's are just crazy lazy and greedy. My niece and her hubbie can't even bother to send out thank you notes for their wedding gifts, nor even a text or email. That's pathetic and all too typical

  17. Really? That's a ridiculously stupid word you made up.

  18. What we tip for and what we don’t never made sense to me. I can order $5 worth of anything and Amazon delivers it to my house free for a yearly fee but if I order from DoorDash under their subscription it only reduces my delivery fee, and you have to decide on your tip BEFORE the order arrives and the tip amount is based on your bill amount? So it was more “service” to pick up my $50 order from Red Robin than a $20 order from McDonald’s?

  19. Going to Europe for nearly 3 months for the 3rd time in my life was such a breath of fresh air. I didn’t have to tip anywhere. You see they actually pay their worker a living wage instead of passing the buck or Euro on to the customers. I got better quality, non pesticide cleaner food, well made in Europe for sometimes as little as a quarter of a price it would cost me in America. Same with clothes & tchotchkes

  20. waiters aren't doing anything magical. They bring out food, they don't even cook it, and refill water. They aren't doing anything worth the amount to be tipped past 10%. And if I want to tip more than you better believe I should be impressed and that takes more than bring the correct food out. I am never impressed by the waiter, maybe the food, but restaurants should pay them more not the person just wanting to eat food.

  21. I don't think this is asking to much except for the retail clerks. When I stay in resorts during holidays or during the football season I leave a card with a nice tip for those cleaning my room. I also tip those that bring me extra towels to my room. It's not much but those workers are always overlooked as many of them don't speak English. One year I was at the Gaylord Texan for an entire week got sick and one of the cooks made me some French Toast for my Birthday and brought it to my table. I left him a nice Thank you card and a $50 gift card.

  22. Honestly, I am never impressed by any waiter's service. All they do is bring out the food and service your request and sometimes that's less than pleasing. Most of them are losers and drug addicts.

  23. My issue is that takeout and pickup often ask for the tip when you place the order – how am I supposed to know if the service was good or not yet? What if I’m missing food? Or there is an error?

  24. Just the tip – classic!

  25. Gotta love it when you get a tattoo for $500 and then are expected to tip another $100. Dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Add the f$$$ing tip into your service charge.

  26. You want me to tip you for ringing me up, you want a tip, get second job.

  27. Businesses don’t want to pay their employees a living wage and expect consumers to bridge the gap.
We all need to boycott this outrageous practice. Pay your employees!!!

  28. The only place I tip is restaurants. Even then, I never use their pre-set tip amounts. I pay 20% tip, but based on the subtotal only. I'm not paying a tip on tax.

  29. Wouldn't be surprised to see a tip for doctor visits or a tip for your local mechanic. As if the $$$ thousands they charge you isn't enough already 😂

  30. If tipping for takeout is advised, why was it never, ever done or expected at any time in history until a few years ago when those credit card machines appeared with tip options? Answer me that, Mr Manners.

  31. Ya’ll need a 7% tip for shopping at Walmart

  32. I will tip at restaurant, salon, service industry etc. I am NOT tipping at a regular store or online, wtf! No no no. Stop!

  33. Is this guy nuts?? Tip for takeout?? Not a chance!

  34. I believe that you should always tip at a restaurant if it’s a sit down restaurant and here’s a little where it can get personal for me you personally give the tip to the server and give an awesome 🤩 smile 😊 and thank you ☺️. If I feel the pressure I just don’t do it if it’s a coffee shop situation but if it’s a great place and it’s a really good one then if I come back again and it’s a good one every time and if I were a regular person and they would know my order then yeah I would likely leave a gratuity. As someone who works in retail we don’t accept tips and it’s against our policy and our moral values.

  35. Can’t raise the minimum wage? Thieving board of directors and CEO must lie poverty. Steal it all. $7.25? LOL Two Party system screwing all of us! WAKE UP! 🔥

  36. Many places ask you to tip BEFORE anything is done for you (like at sandwich shops). When I select “no tip,” I often get terrible service after that.

  37. I never tip. I pay in smiles ☺️👋 then walk away with Wednesday Adams face

  38. Tipping is never necessary in my state because they get paid more than I do. I make minimum wage with no possibility of a tip. I’m not going to tip someone who averages $20 an hour while I make $15. Regardless, I always get sh*t service so why would I tip?

  39. I typically don't tip for take-out food unless the workers know me and know my order. That's alright, right?

  40. japan will retake the kurils sakhalin and vlaidvostok south korea will take north korea.

  41. I think it crazy now. I use to work table service 20 years ago and it paid well into 50-60k a year for unskilled labor. It unskilled labor how much do you expect to get paid. Now same thing are asking for tip 15-25% and I have to hunt them down for first refill.

  42. TIP? ha yea right. If I have to pick up my order or I have to spend gas money to go shopping your tip is 0 dollarssssss. NONE. If you deliver my food you get 2 dollars and be thankful. You're probably making 4 to 800 dollars every 2-3 days, no tip. Waitresses, tip, depending on how they act and service me. Imagine walking into macys to buy clothes and they ask for a tip? I would laugh out loud just so they can be embarrassed. If all you do is depend on tips, heres a TIP………………GET A BETTER JOB!

  43. Why not cover the 4-5% "health care" fee added my restaurants.
