During the beginning of the pandemic I remember a report about a bat that escaped a lab where they were doing work with covid, then I never heard it in-depth again. It has been floating around like a rumor for the last few years, and now we're back to focusing on it. I remember there being clear certainty on the first report. It makes sense that it was in the lab, so why would it be so bad if that's how it actually started; an accident in a lab doesn't seem far-fetched or controversial.
