  1. I may be mistaken but the cost for geodesic dome homes with about the same square footage as the destroyed homes are very close. The domes are made from concrete & rebar or DIY prefab wood & metal panels that you bolt together using simple tools. There are many ways to achieve the forms but whatever dome you choose probably has a much higher tornado, hurricane, high wind rating than any prefab home or unreinforced wood structures.
I bet living hobbit style in earth covered domes would save billions in insurance claims.
Underground parking, storm proof windows just party the storm away with enough of your own power, water & food so you don't need to worry about everything you own flying away.
Seems more sensible than building houses they can't take momma nature's punishment.
One thing for sure, if Greta Scumberg had been there she could have flown high above the storm until it passed thn landed to explain to the news & the woman how her carbon rich lifestyle was responsible for her home being destroyed now mother nature 🀑 then Greta could tell the woman who just lost everything how much worse tornados are for trans people of color because tornadoes themselves are racist & disproportionately target trans people of pronouns so she's lucky really 🀑😳

  2. I guess they will set up tent city’s or????

  6. With all these Bath Tub survivers, there should be some sort of consideration to reinforce restrooms and Bath Tubs to be able to function as Storm Shelters people to use in these sorts of emergencies.

  7. Everyone in the comments thanking God, but no one is thanking Al Gore for predicting this 20 years ago…. People in these parts still don’t believe climate change is real.

  8. This is terrible and we pray for the families. Why don't you interview the hundreds of parents that lose their children everyday to fentanyl coming across the open border

  12. I have to ask if all of you know your living in a area that this happens why do you live there ? I understand it being the state you were born in but when you get your house flattened every other years I would rethink living there.. I live in Washington State and the earth can shake with earthquakes which happen every now and then and I feel for everyone that lost their homes..must be hard to see what you worked for gone..

  13. Hiding in the bathtub? What they thought the tornado would not find them there? πŸ˜‚

  17. These houses are built from wooden beams and drywall, this is the problem. They can't stand a strong wind. Concrete or brick houses are better for this area.
