Sea lions, seals and dolphins are washing up dead or showing signs of sickness on the Southern California shoreline, and biologists say the likely cause is a toxic algae bloom. NBC News’ Steve Patterson shares what health officials are saying.

What a heart-breaking situation. Jacques Cousteau told the world over 50 years ago that if we don't guard the health of the world's oceans then the entire planet will suffer. Why didn't anyone take him more seriously at the time?
The oceans are abused. People want to live by them and others wnt to use them like a garbage dump.
