Across the country, “porch pirates” are stealing people’s packages right from their doorsteps. In the last year, 79% of Americans had a package stolen, a problem most severe in California’s Bay Area. That’s why Campbell, California police, like many departments across the country, are putting GPS tracking devices inside bait packages to track down thieves.

Someone please build a porch lock box, which only delivery persons can open via QR code. The lock box can be quite large, and fastened to a wall or deck. When you get home, all of your packages are safe! 🔒

There a underground criminal enterprise that is hiring and paying people to steal packages . They know when the package arrives and what’s in it. Sometimes the people stealing the packages think it’s a real job . Happening all over the US.
Just leave a box 📦 on your porch filled with dog 🐕 poop 💩 . That'll teach these porch pirates ☠️ a lesson. 🤣
Me and my neighbor hide each other's packages if we know the other isn't home , they have had one incident prior to us starting to do that .
I've left delivery instructions with Amazon several times explicitly informing them that I want to be there to sign for it or to leave it in the backyard behind a wooden fence I have to where nobody can see it and they don't ever follow these instructions. I have even left a huge note on the front door where it would be impossible to not see it that said LEAVE IN BACK YARD and they won't do it. I've never had anything stolen but that is really frustrating and don't believe for a second that they will follow your instructions.

Hope we start prosecuting more porch pirates. Surprising how much effort is taken to be a porch pirate especially since there isn’t any fried chicken or watermelon in those things.
