It's simple, if you where born a boy, you cannot compete in women sports.

Good! I'm sick of all these men taking over women's sports and accomplishments. Lia Thomas who was not even on the radar in men's swimming decides to become a woman and sets world records. Caitlyn Jenner decides to become a woman and is presented with Times Woman of the Year. What a joke! Remind me again how these "women" can have a baby, go through menopause, get cervical cancer, etc etc etc. They're treating woman like a Halloween costume, reaping all the benefits of being a woman and leaving all the negatives aside. The appropriation is disgusting.

The Olympics has banned Transgender swimmers from competing in women's competition if the transgender person goes through puberty before genital mutilation. This ruling will be used by pro-trans groups to pass legislation to reduce parental rights to the age of 12. This legislation is already proposed in California and would allow 12 year old children to transition WITHOUT parental consent.
The real question is how can a 10-11 year old kid decide to take hormone blockers and begin it's transition.
This comment section is atrocious and demonstrates how much deeper the problem with society is. There are so many people in this comment section arguing the validity of her womanhood and using this ruling as an opportunity to say transphobic hate speech.

if someone is convinced they are a woman but they were born with a male body, I don't mind calling them 'she', they can wear a dress and live as a woman. BUT when it harms biological women – in prisons, in hospital wards (a woman in Britain was raped by a transwoman on a female ward), in sports, then science and authorities need to step in as has happened here and protect biological women. The individual may believe they are actually a woman, not just a transwoman, but that is not the reality and we cannot have biological women losing sponsorships and college places because of this belief. No one is saying don't take part in sport, no one is saying don't swim, just don't compete in elite sports against the opposite sex where it will never be the reality that they don't have an advantage if they have gone through male puberty. it is not all about the trans person's feelings, there are other people's feelings to consider as well.
