The devil is very aware … more aware then most humans that every human will be alive forever in one of two locations. The devil also knows if he can rob you of the atoning work of Jesus Christs' blood poured out on Calvary he can rob you of your eternal destiny. Jesus Christ died on the cross so our sins could be forgiven. But most miss the part that we only receive this atonement by faith in God's son. Not only faith in God's son, but the Jesus Christ laid out in the bible.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

So these verses tell us not only that the Word is God, but also the word was made flesh and dwelt among us. Therefore the word is also Jesus. So that means if we are going to believe in Jesus appropriately that means we must believe in the bible bc essentially they are one in the same (The Holy Trinity Father, word, Spirit & they are one).
